'This is a special villa from which to explore the Vittoria DOCG wine region and Chiaramonte Gulfi. The villa is beautiful and peaceful. We were lucky to be the only guests there at the time. The breakfast is well above standard for the region. We highly recommend this villa.'

We almost had to go back to the village airstrip for the night at 1 am because the proprietress didn’t want to accommodate an after-hours booking the app allowed. 'Warm welcome and outstanding food! We purchased the dinner and found it spectacular. Her local specialties were so delicious and so many! So many of the appetizers were of local farms and recipes of the area. And Breakfast was extra special with warm local ricotta and delicious fruit. Great location for visiting Modica, Ragusa etc'

'Dit hotel overtreft alles wat we op Sicilië hebben gezien. Deze verbouwde boerderij met heel oude muren en restanten uit het verleden, ligt erg rustig, dicht bij zee en bij bezienswaardige steden met leuke restaurantjes. De kamer met uitzicht op het zwembad en eigen ligstoelen voor de deur was zeer comfortabel. Het ontbijt was goed, evenals het diner in het restaurant, met weliswaar een beperkte keuze. Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk.'

'We've had a very pleasant stay at cozze di papaleo. We stayed for 4 nights with an infant and a toddler in early november and enjoyed the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Room was clean, modern and spacious. Surrounded by a nice garden. Breakfast was tasty with great coffee and we've enjoyed dinner 3 nights. Surrounding area has enough to offer with pretty towns like Modica and Ragusa and beaches. For us sea was still just warm enough for a swim'
