'Prima Hotel alleen het ontbijd mag beter! Goed bed. Goede aansluiting naar London. Voldoende eetgelegenheden in de buurt.'

'Stayed at the Ivy Hill Hotel for a couple of nights visiting family for Christmas. An excellent hotel for a quiet break but within easy reach of London. Staff were fantastic. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast - both very nice. We were given a room upgrade and it was more spacious than our previous visit - very comfortable. Would definitely book again.'

'Ik heb 12 nachten overnacht in Campanile Basildon. Daar heb ik de vriendelijkste, sympathiekste en meest attente mensen leren kennen. Uiteraard heb je voor dat geld geen kasten met gouden randjes of een sterrenrestaurant... Maar ik had een nette kamer, met iedere dag verse lakens, handdoeken en koffie-melk-suiker-theezakjes. Het engels ontbijt was elke ochtend weer heerlijk. Ook 's avonds genoot ik elke keer van een heerlijk avondmaal. Ik snap niet waarom dit hotel zo weinig sterren krijgt....

'The room is comfortable and quiet. The hotel is under renovation so the hallways are a bit messy here and there. Service is good so all in all it was a pleasant experience.'

'Good value for money. 15 min walk to gants hill metro station and shops. Beautiful Valentine's park across the road. Breakfast is very good, nothing short off. Nothing wrong with the rooms either. Although the matras is pretty bad, springs... But you can't have it all for under 25eu a night. '

'Very clean, comfortable bed and sofa, nice to have a desk. Kitchen mostly equipped, just needed to get a couple cleaning supplies and a tea pot! Would stay again.'

'Had a choice between this motel, which was a little out of the way, or a motorway chain. This did take extra time from the M11, but was it ever worth it. Roydon could be straight out of Thomas the Tank Engine, the railway is right there (but not too noisy), you can walk to the little station, a canal on your doorstep, two very decent pubs, a coffee bar for sandwich or coffee in the marina. Staff were friendly, unit was clean and looked purpose built and not that old, room and bathroom very...
