'The staff is amazing, the room was very nice. Great location on a 5 minute walk from the airport. Great food and nice bar. The only think i did not like was the smell of sigarettes/sigars on the 4th floor.( the hallway). I told the staff about this but i smelled it al the three days....i think the smell is in the carpet or the wall or something but they should look into that for the future. Overall great stay ,nice people, good food and great location. '

'Stayed at the Ivy Hill Hotel for a couple of nights visiting family for Christmas. An excellent hotel for a quiet break but within easy reach of London. Staff were fantastic. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast - both very nice. We were given a room upgrade and it was more spacious than our previous visit - very comfortable. Would definitely book again.'

'Had a choice between this motel, which was a little out of the way, or a motorway chain. This did take extra time from the M11, but was it ever worth it. Roydon could be straight out of Thomas the Tank Engine, the railway is right there (but not too noisy), you can walk to the little station, a canal on your doorstep, two very decent pubs, a coffee bar for sandwich or coffee in the marina.
