The hotel itself is not bad, but it is lacking in simple services to make your stay there so much more enjoyable. The hotel is located on the very far east end of the island. Very far from the main city of Christenstad and most of the island's attractions. Getting anywhere is difficult and very expensive. You can rent a car, but with no cell service in many areas of the island, you'll have no navigation. The other option is to use a local taxi service, but they can be very expensive. The hotel should provide shuttle service to guests that will take you to the city in the morning and return to pick you up later in the afternoon. Also, there are no grocery or retail stores near the hotel. Providing a simple grocery store in the hotel or within walking distance of the hotel would really make your stay there more comfortable.

Unfortunately, due to the strict control imposed by the taxi commission on the island, alternative transportation options like Uber and Lyft are unavailable, and establishing private shuttles for individual properties is not feasible. However, we do provide a small map in your welcome packet to assist with navigation in areas with limited cell service.We are delighted to inform you that we do have a store called "Smugglers" within the hotel premises, offering a variety of essential items for your convenience. We understand the importance of having access to such amenities during your stay, and we continuously strive to meet the needs of our guests.Once again, thank you for your valuable feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide you with an improved experience.

Perfect if you are looking for a quieter experience. Great mixed drinks and pizza! We loved our stay! The staff was amazing and so so awesome! I would give 10 stars if I could! We will be back!

Pool is beautifu. Staff is extremely helpful, very friendly. Need to have a car to go places. Small eating area, not a big menu, but breakfast very good. Would go back.

This property is a work in progress. It was abandoned for a long time and recently renovated and revitalized. With that said, it’s in a remote location and it’s a drive to any restaurants, town, and the beach. There is no working elevator so this is not a place for people with mobility issues. The rooms are spacious and most have ocean views. The rooms have digital locks and they didn’t seem the most secure. The main dining area is dated and also outdoor so the wind can be an issue at times. Overall, this resort has potential. The staff are super friendly and helpful.

The property itself was clean, however there was an issue with bugs. A huge bug got into the room and climbed into a corner and turned into what appeared to be a cocoon there was also a small roach in the room. Also there was no one at the front desk after 9p which was very strange as there was no one to help with the issue with the bugs. Staff however during the day was very friendly. The restaurants were very mediocre as far as food quality.

Good Morning,I am sorry to hear about the bug situation. We do our best with controlling them by hiring exterminators to come on property to take care of them. Since we are located in a hotter climate and it is the rainy seasons, bugs do find their way inside sometimes especially if the sliding door is left open which I was told by security that you guys did. It is part of living down here. Hot temperature, Rain, and Humidity causes them to come on property. I hope you understand, and we apologize.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. I didn't have hot water the entirety of my trip. Maintenance simply told me locals don't use hot water. I contacted management, staff and expedia themselves while staying there. No one allowed me to get out of my lengthy non refunable trip. Expedia claims they cannot refund or allow me to check out early, the hotel management says refunds or partial refunds are only done by the owner. It's been over a month the owner is MIA refuses to answer phone calls or comminucation by me or expedia. They do not respond to expedia messages, direct calls done to the hotel asking for management or the owner etc. They basically take your money and you have no way of contacting them with issues after check in. HOT WATER IS A BASIC AMENITY. It should be provided by the hotel. How are you supposed to enjoy an island vacation when you come back from the beach to a freezing cold shower? Aside from no hot water it should also be noted the "beach" is not swimmable and the front desk staff actually tell you to swim further along the coast as their beach is rocky and dangerous. They are a waterfront property but wouldnt classify it as beachfront when you cannot swim in the beach. I did stay at victoria house the remainder of my trip, they were next to the wonderful rainbow beach and did have very hot water. I suggest staying there instead.

Good Morning,Thank you for your feedback. We are surprised by your claim regarding the lack of hot water during your stay, as this has not been reported by any other guests. We take pride in maintaining high standards and can confirm that hot water was available throughout your visit. We even went the extra mile and offered you a different room which you checked out and claimed that it was "warmer" but opted into staying in your room instead of moving. The guest that was with you also informed the Front Desk agent that the hot water was hot enough for him, but not for you. As per your claim that we do not respond or communicate, I do want to inform you that according to Expedia, we have a 98% response rate and an average response time of 16 hours. Which also make this claim false.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was fabulous. Shower and water pressure were not good. Wait staff was slow and took awhile to get food and drink. “Island Time” Food was good but selections were limited. Pool was lovely, but no swim in ocean. Perfect weather!

Front desk staff Myrtle was excellent !! She was very helpful we were very disappointed to learn that the hotel restaurant was t open during the days were staying especially because it’s about a 20 minute ride into town the only food options were pizza But myrtle provided us with a person for transportation reasonable priced she also provided us with some restaurant options she made our stay very pleasant

We really enjoyed our stay here. Loved our room and gorgeous view from our balcony! Staff was wonderful and very willing to help! Sunday brunch was very good :) Those were the great things. However, for an approx. $400 night hotel (inc. tax) there was room for improvement on a few things. One, the shower water was only luke warm at best, even though water temperature in sinks were hot. They looked at it and said nothing could be done. There's only 3 restaurants; breakfast only 7 to 9 (except Sunday brunch) a Japanese restaurant only open Thurs, Fri, Sat, and a bar restaurant open 3 to 9, I think. The hotel is a ways from a lot of things, which we knew ahead, but might not stay again because of that. So a pain, but also very quiet at night, which was nice. Also, the beach is rocky which we knew ahead of time, but hoped it was at least a walking beach, but it really wasn't. Also, we had a big kitchen, but no dishclothes, dishtowels, or dish rack. Only paper towels to dry dishes with. Also lots of space, but very little in the way of kitchenware. Some wine glasses and a corkscrew would have been nice, Definitely room for them and other things. So would I recommend? Just depends on what you're looking for I guess. But again, to reiterate, we did really enjoy our stay and can't say enough about the wonderful staff!!

Response from late night (1am) unsafe incident was fairly nonexistent from owner or management. Or rather made it to be us the guests fault for sleeping with sliding glass door open. Completely wet walls and floor at 1am. With sparks coming out of outlets due to moisture in room 12. Once moved at 3am - never had another problem with moisture in room 4.

It was very quiet since we were there during off season. Staff was excellent and most helpful. Food at the 2 restaurants was good. They do need to fix the elevator, however. Beach was not very walkable but understand they plan to improve the beach front.

This property was so beautiful and peaceful. The food onsite was excellent although it could be available during longer timeframe. The water was beautiful. The beach is like others have said rocky and sometimes high in seaweed. But this appears to be the case on the entire island. Even when we went to Rainbow Beach which is considered the top beach, waves were throwing 6 and 8 inch size rocks at your feet.

If a guest gets bedbugs from an infested bed, the least u could do is make a ride possible to an urgent care facility. $120 for medicine also because of YOUR infestation! You played us cheap and your sense of urgency showed. Your management never even came to inquire our status after urgent care. Place was lovely, food, pool, all good. Your accountability in an emergency gets a big fat zero!

Mandy was very nice and helpful. Hotel was clean and views were amazing. The taxi service gouge you but walking to the casino or to jacks beach/horse shoe beach and Isaacs beach are walkable and great day trips, both about thirty minutes walk. Restaurant charged gratuity on to go items which did not seem rightfair

VERY CLEAN AND THE ROOM WAS VERY LARGE AND HAD EVERYTHING NEEDED FROM PLATES AND SILVERWARE TO COFFEE AND MICROWAVE PLUS FRIDGE. THE VIEW OF OCEN FROM PATIO WAS THE BEST

Great location to enjoy quiet and relaxing time. Room size and balcony was awesome with constant breeze to enjoy. Jack and Isaac bay trail to beach is awesome and we had beach to ourselves. Staff is superhelpful and always smiling. Not much dining options for vegetarians and we didn’t eat at the peopety so can’t comment.
