'I booked a standard ensuite double room but upgraded to the Tudor Suite. I chose this hotel because it is hundreds of years old, which is something we don’t get to experience much in the USA! The hotel obviously has all the charm of such an old place and would be awesome for a romantic getaway (although I was traveling alone on this trip!). There is lots of parking, which is free. 'Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here.'

'We were comfortable in our room but we found it unusual that the cleaning staff weren’t cleaning rooms until very late in the day. So the first day we said just leave our room for today but we do require a few things (TP and coffee). Other than that our room was never refreshed at all. The front of the property had two lovely patio sets however staff had overlooked cleaning them, so we gave them a quick brush off so we could use them. 'Room was very clean as was the bathroom. It had everything you needed and it was all clearly labelled. Kingsize bed was really comfy. Curtains were blackout so no light got through. Situated in a lovely quiet area so there was no noise throughout the night. Throughly enjoyed the room. Had no issues are complaints. '
