'The bison herd nearby was wonderful to see! The cabin was cozy. The view was so nice and we enjoyed the swing on the porch. If you want great barbecue, we recommend Haywood Smokehouse, Waynesville. Their pulled pork quesadillas with peppers, onions and mushrooms were out of this world… delicious!!!'

'The Dogwood Cabin was absolutely perfect. The location was beautiful, quiet, nice views from the many windows and an easy commute from our son's nearby property. The cabin was well equipped and clean. The beds were comfortable and the pillows just right. Lots of reading material highlighting the local area. Loved having coffee on the back enclosed deck in the mornings. Would definitely stay here again.'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Buffalo creek as a base camp after exploring the Smokies! Being welcomed into a new day listening to birdsong with our coffee and being bid safe travels each day by the bison herd was truly magical. We enjoyed listening to the rain on the Tin roof and appreciating everything that Buffalo creek offered to help us reconnect as a couple.'

'Absolutely loved staying at Bison Overlook Lodge! The peacefulness at the ranch was amazing! The cabin was beautiful and had plenty of things to do there when it rained. We also loved feeding the goats as their area was right beside the cabin. Other towns were just a short drive away when needed. The vacation we definitely needed!!!I did not want to leave. The 209 Cafe, which was a short distance from here, had awesome food!!!'

'We were 2 families with 3 girls (ages 9, 10, and 12) and we all had a wonderful time! The kids just absolutely loved running around the place, feeding the animals, playing with the dogs; playing at the playground, and playing tetherball! They were “ranch hands” in the mornings and loved it. We had fires in the outdoor pit, and we could see the bison from there. 'Outstanding property. My family and I had a wonderful visit. My grandkids loved the game room. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were decorated to the buffalo theme. I highly recommend the ranch hand and feeding the buffalo options. The Depot had a lot of great things to buy. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We bought bison ground meat which made awesome hamburgers. We even saw fire flies after dark, what a treat! Thanks for the memories!'
