'Difficult for the hotel as there was a power cut for quite a few hours following the storm'

'Lovely bed and breakfast in Keswick; close to restaurants. Parking is difficult on weekends.'

'I received a very warm greetings g when I arrived and was shown to my room, the room was very clean with a view of the train station which was amazing. I had dietary requirements and they were very happy to help. I really enjoyed it and will definitely return'

'We arrived to a lovely friendly greeting from Suruchi, we were given a walk around of the property, offered information on things to do and places to go. We chose this as a central location that was dog friendly for the three of us to stay. Nice location, nice property and the room was clean and tidy. Would definitely use this property again on another stay in the lakes. Thank you for making our 4 night stay so memorable.'

'Nice people on the reception offering walking guides just to use as soon as we told we were planning to do some walking in the Lake District. The rooms were spaceous and very clean. In the morning on request freshly baken croissants or oatmeal During the evenings we used the DVD service for free. You can pick one and play a movie in the room.'

'Een warme ontvangst, een heerlijk domein en een fijne kamer. Heerlijk diner, met heel wat keuze. Het ontbijt was ook top.'

'This was the best B&B by far I have ever stayed in. The room was spotless and a very comfy bed. The full Cumbrian breakfast was delicious and plenty of it, There was also a good alternative menu aswell. But if you decide to have an evening meal you are in for a real treat. Darryl is a trained Chef and the meals he serves are amazing.'

'Amazing place to stay. First time staying in a B&B having favoured hotel stays in the past and what a nice change in made. From the warm and friendly welcome and throughout the 3 day stay everything met or exceeded our expectations. The room (Burley) at the top of the house was amazing with a roll top bath in the room, the most comfortable of bed and just the ambiance of the house made the experience even better. Breakfast was lovely and the hosts were super friendly too.'

'I can not fault this hotel one bit! From the minute we arrived the staff were super helpful. Our room was amazing! Close to walk into the town. We ordered our evening meal through the hotel, and wow… the most gorgeous food I’ve eaten in a long time! Overall book it you won’t be disappointed.'

'Location was perfect right in the centre of historic Hawkshead ask about car parking at the primary school. On Suite was very small, the vanity didn’t drain properly, the sensor light is a pain when you don’t want to wake-up your partner at night! A common problem with all accommodation in the Uk is that only having a Duvet on the bed to hot to use and worst no top sheet, Duvets are to hot in winter because of the heating and to hot in summer with no air conditioning and with no ventilation...

'Bed and pillows very comfortable, room tastefully decorated and clean. Stairs upto bedrooms. Parking at rear. Lovely breakfast and hand made starter with fresh fruits and granola/ yogurt.'

'Oubollig, veel lawaai van verkeer , warme kamer , geen werkende WiFi , kortom : aan een grondige renovatie toe'
