Mooi huis met 2 verdiepingen gelegen op de klif in het Christian Hill district van het historische Alton, Illinois. Geniet van het prachtige uitzicht op de rivier de Mississippi vanuit de slaapkamers en het dek. Dit huis biedt u een volledig uitgeruste keuken, een gashaard in de woonkamer en een omheinde achtertuin met een vuurplaats en een grill. Staying here is a wonderful and unique experience in one of the oldest homes in Alton. There is a great view of the Mississippi River from many of the windows and the porch. There is a park within easy walking distance to see more river views from the bluffs. The house is very comfortable and has lots of beautiful spaces to relax in.

Excellent location in relation to the places we wanted to visit.Very nice and comfortable suite that had everything we needed for the week. Nice sitting area in the backyard to have a drink and wind up after a long day of walking and hiking.The view/s of the mountains from the property was striking.Because the suite was in the lower level we had to go down and up stairs to get to the suite. But once in the suite it didn't feel like it was in a lower level of the house.We had our dog with us and he felt at home as well.We will definitely go back given the opportunity.Thanks. Stayed for a few days with my teen for a quiet getaway between Christmas and New Year's. The house was beautiful and very comfortable! I'm particular about cleanliness and appreciated how spotless everything was. Great kitchen too with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The house was also beautifully decorated for the holidays which was a nice surprise. Loved the views of the river and how quiet and peaceful the neighborhood was. We had a great time hanging out and watching movies and reading by the fire place. Alton has a lot of charm with great cafes, restaurants and shops. Will definitely be back again!

The directions and information Lawrence gave was very helpful and we found the place easily. The house was even better than the pictures in the write up portray. The view from every window was of the river. The street is very quiet and peaceful and the views from the backyard always seemed to include a deer or two. The decor and furnishing are very tasteful and the house had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. I recommend highly!

The property had enough room for my family, which included three teenagers. It's nice to have multiple bathrooms and space to spread out when traveling as a family. The upstairs bathroom is fabulous and there were plenty of towels for us. The location was really nice. There are two nearby parks and you can see the river from the house. The landscaping is also very nice. Would definitely stay again. :)

Great stay! Eileen and Larry could not have been more helpful and gracious. This is a super clean and comfortable 2-bedroom home. The Christian Hill neighborhood and Riverview Park next door were added super benefits. Would definitely recommend this VRBO any time.

We recently stayed at this adorable home and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The house was not only cute but also extremely comfortable—exactly what we were hoping for. The location was perfect, with easy access to everything we wanted to do, and the view from the house was just amazing. We loved soaking it all in. The place was spotless when we arrived, which made settling in a breeze. It’s clear the hosts take great care of their home. Speaking of the hosts, they truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Their hospitality was unmatched, and they were always available to assist with anything we needed, no matter how big or small. They made us feel like we were staying with old friends, which added a special touch to our vacation. Overall, this was hands down one of the best vacation rentals we’ve ever stayed in. We’re already talking about coming back for another visit. If you’re looking for a great place to stay with fantastic hosts, this is it!

My daughter and I once again enjoyed our stay. The house is a classic and felt like a home. We so enjoyed sitting on the porch at night staring out to the river below and hearing a bird and insect chorus every night. The hosts were, once again, more than accommodating.
