'We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was perfect for our get away. It was clean and had everything we needed. The owners are very responsive to any questions.'

'The property is located in a small neighborhood right by the water. While there are houses fairly close it is quiet with beautiful views. The house is clean and has good appliances/wifi for a comfortable stay. It is a one bedroom with a big bathroom and living room. The screened in patio is good to avoid the mosquitos. One note is for those with mobility issues, the shower/bathtub has a high ledge with a thicker width to get in/out.'

'This "little" cottage had enough space for comfort and was in a very quiet neighborhood. The home was clean, well stocked and inviting. This was the perfect place for a ladies getaway retreat. We could walk just about anywhere we needed to be. 3-4 blocks from the beach and a few more from a small variety of restaurants. Can't wait to visit again!'

The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, the living room and main bedroom we used were comfortable, and the sun porch had great views where you could relax in the AC. 'The cottage is an older structure that has been impeccably renovated. It had everything we needed for a week's stay. Colonial Beach is not a glamorous ocean holiday destination. It is a rural community with a basic infrastructure on the Potomac River.'

'We had a wonderful long weekend and enjoyed everything this house had to offer. There were so many thoughtful details (fire pit, bikes, coffee, dog treats and on and on). We loved fishing off the dock and the fully fenced in yard was a huge hit for our fur baby. We can't say enough good things and would love to come back!'

'Our stay at the Shore Cottage was everything we could have wanted and more. The home is beautifully appointed and impeccably maintained. Everything was fresh and clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the amenities of the gazebo overlooking the water and our boys spent endless hours playing in the sand and water. Just a short car trip to restaurants and attractions, very manageable. The hostess, Marilyn, is very sweet and extremely helpful and accomodating. Can't beat coffee in the gazebo...

'We were in the area for an event but decided to find a nice getaway spot instead of staying in a hotel. This was a little further from the event location but well worth it! The cottage was clean and welcoming, the scenery beautiful, and overall a comfortable, quiet location.'
