About the home

“Phillip Island Cottage 2” is a 2-bedroom Cottage in a collection of 6 original beach cottages in central Cowes, just 250 metres from the Beach, and a short walk from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Guests have exclusive use of Cottage 2, which has its own separate entrance and private enclosed Courtyard, while they can share the central communal Village Green with the other 5 Cottages. Some of the many features of this lovely (but simple) home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

The Central Living/Dining Room (with wall-mounted 44" smart TV) provides a fantastic area to congregate, and flows through to the open plan Kitchen (with access to the rear Courtyard). Bedroom 1 (with BIR) is accessed off the Living/Dining Room, while Bedroom 2 (with BIR) and the Bathroom (with shower & separate Toilet) lead off the Kitchen.

Outdoor Areas

The Cottage has a fully covered Porch (with 2 tables and seating for 4 people) that runs the length of the home and faces on to the Village Green. The Cottage also has a private fully enclosed rear Courtyard (with table & seating for 4 people).

The huge shared Village Green between all six Cottages provides a fantastic outdoor space, with a central grassy area and an adjoining shared BBQ pavilion (with gas BBQ & seating for 12 or more people) with space for ball games, kids to run around and adults to spread out. There is a central communal fully equipped Laundry (with coin-operated washing machine and free clothes dryer) plus a clothes line in the private Courtyard.

There is parking for 10+ vehicles on the block (cars and/or a boat) shared between the six Cottages, plus additional on-street parking if required.

Please note: The home has external security cameras facing the Village Green, but they do not face any internal private areas.

Kitchen

The Cottage has a Kitchen with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso coffee pod machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, full-sized fridge and electric cook top. Please note: the Cottage does not have an oven.

Heating/Cooling Systems

The Cottage has a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in the open plan Kitchen/Living/Dining room.

Bedding Configuration

This Cottage has 3 beds, accommodating up to 4 guests:

Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: Two King Single beds

Linen

Linen is included for all bookings. This includes doonas (quilts) with covers, sheets, pillows with covers, tea towels, hand towels, bath towels & bath mats.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
