Maroon Bells is een stukje Crested Butte-geschiedenis dat je niet wilt missen. Al meer dan 30 jaar in handen van dezelfde familie, is de hut van eind 1800 diep geworteld in de geschiedenisboeken van Crested Butte. Door de jaren heen vond het zelfs tijd om een fietsenmaker te worden! Liefdevol gerestaureerd en terug naar zijn pracht als een fantastisch familiehuis, de locatie kan niet worden overtroffen! Precies in het midden van de historische wijk en op slechts 1 blok van Elk Avenue, is dit huis met 4 slaapkamers en 4 badkamers met privé HOT TUB zeker de basis van uw familie voor vele memorabele Crested Butte-vakanties!

Stap binnen in dit ruime huis en ontdek de definitie van 'comfort'. Met fantastische bedden, een enorme verzonken HOT TUB en een grote tuin is er genoeg ruimte voor het hele gezin (10 om precies te zijn). De open woonkamer, keuken en eetkamer zorgen ervoor dat iedereen deel uitmaakt van de actie, terwijl dat verwarmde spel 'go fish' wordt gespeeld op de grote eettafel. Op het eerste niveau vindt u ook de hoofdslaapkamer met een kingsize bed en een eigen hoofdbad. Er is een koningin slaapkamer op dit niveau samen met twee volledige baden en een wasruimte.

Boven vindt u twee aparte slaapkamers. Die aan de voorkant van het huis heeft een queensize bed en twee tweelingen. De tweede master suite bevindt zich aan de achterkant van het huis en heeft een queensize bed, een eigen badkamer en een eigen buitenterras. Deze kamer biedt het meest ongelooflijke uitzicht in het huis van de omliggende bergen ten noorden van Crested Butte. Buiten vindt u een grote tuin en een eigen overdekt bubbelbad om te ontspannen na een lange dag skiën, wandelen of gewoon winkelen! Almost everything was excellent and just as described. Amazingly well stocked kitchen with more than enough glasses and dishes for a full house. Incredible location. Loads of space. The only drawback with the hot tub which appeared less than clean on arrival (slightly green). I will say that the management were immediately responsive to my questions about it and sent out the hot tub cleaners to check it out the same day. I would definitely recommend staying here and would happily come back.

Great Accommodation in CB

Stayed here with family members for our son’s wedding in CB. The house was exactly as described - very roomy, well equipped, clean, and a super location right in town. The hot tub and the large back yard allowed us to also enjoy the beautiful weekend outdoors - the littles were able to run to their hearts content and swim in hot tub. Highly recommend for families looking to come together but have some privacy as well.

Ski Trip with Friends

This house was perfect for our ski trip! It was very close to the main street so we were able to walk to everything and it was also close to the bus stop for MT. Crested Butte. We have 9 people total and there were plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed to make a big family meal! I would definitely stay here again.

This house and it's location in town was excellent. Only a block away from restaurants and shops. Very short walk to anything and everything. It was accurately described in the VRBO description and perfectly met he needs of our family. It was extremely well appointed. Complete and matching sets of ample wine glasses (approx 12), cocktail glasses, dishes, and flatware. Multiple toasters (that worked). We've stayed in many rentals before where there was a hodgepodge of kitchenware. It's very clear this owner takes pride in their rental and the experience of their guests. The house had everything we needed and it felt like a true home for the week of our vacation. And the management company - IronHorse - was very responsive when we needed assistance. And the check-in instructions and communication prior to our arrival was clear and covered everything to set us up for an easy move in. I highly recommend this house for a vacation in Crested Butte!

Ideal Location

We stayed at the house with another family and had a blast. The house had everything we needed to cook meals. The upstairs area with queen and twin beds was the perfect room for kids to sleep together. The hot tub was such fun for the kids. You are right in town and don’t even need to use your car. Great playground nearby. Highly recommend!

Great spot in the heart of Crested Butte

We couldn't have asked for a better spot. It was just the four of us so we had lots of room to spread out. I wouldn't hesitate to come back with a group twice as big. The location, the cleanliness, and the amenities were perfect for our three days. We usually like to try new places but we will strongly consider renting this same place again.

Our stay at Maroon Bells

We had a fantastic stay at Maroon Bells. The process of booking the stay thru VRBO was very simple. And the communication with Iron Horse via email was excellent. The house was very clean and neat. The house was bigger than expected and we had plenty of space to move about. The most awesome thing about the house is it’s location- just one block off the Main Street. So close to shopping, eating and all the other cool things that make up Crested Butte. Some of our other family stayed further away, but they ended gathering at Maroon Bells due to its proximity to the downtown area. Overall, we only had one complaint- and this isn’t really a complaint- the house on the website was beige, while in reality it had gotten a fresh coat of blue paint! The new color has just added to its charm.

Christmas trip 2024

Our family of 8 had a great stay at Maroon Bells over Christmas. The property management was great to work with prior to and during our visit. I would have given all 5 stars, but we did have problems with the hot tub, and unfortunately were not able to use it successfully for most of the stay, circuit breaker kept shutting it down. Maintenance was sent twice to restart, but unfortunately due to the holidays a repair was not able to be scheduled until after we left. I trust this will be fixed for future renters. The location, close to the free bus stop to ski slopes, and right in town was perfect for walking anywhere we needed. We did not have a car and did not miss one. The house was well stocked for cooking. Our beds were comfortable. Our group enjoyed our Christmas in Created Butte and our rental at Marion Bells.

The Maroon Bells VRBO was a fantastic stay! The location couldn’t have been better—just one block off Main Street, making it incredibly convenient to walk to all the great restaurants, shops, and local attractions. We especially loved being within easy walking distance to Camp 4 Coffee, which quickly became our favorite morning stop. The home was comfortable, well-appointed, and perfectly situated for exploring everything the area has to offer. Highly recommend!

Great house in the middle of everything. We easily walked to elk, a block over for dinner, ice cream and the toy store. I MTBd from the home every day. I even brought my fly rod and rented a SUP had great luck at lake Irwin.

Perfect location

We absolutely loved this place! It was 1 block from everything going on in town and it was such a cute place. Great backyard for sitting outside getting some sun. Would definitely stay here again. There were only 2 of us so we only used 1 of the 4 beautiful bedrooms.
