'I found this property to be very average, despite being in Camden. Everyone else keeps their properties looking nice on the outside with flowers and manicured lawns. There are large flower pots at this place that had old sponge forms in them but with no flowers. There are weeds growing on the foregrounds. Not sure why they call it a hotel. No one attends it. 'Everything about our stay was fantastic. We really enjoyed the views, kayaking on the lake, seeing the stars, and listening to the loons. The property manager met us onsite at check-in, even though it was late in the evening and provided us a tour so we knew where everything was situated and how to access the amenities. "Honestly, we really wanted to give a 5 star review, just because Marc was such a great host. But all in all our experience was a bit disappointing - considering what we paid. We had booked a cottage but it was actually a room in a cottage with several other rooms in it. The room itself did not offer the right value for money. It was clean and the bed was great, but everything else felt and looked tired and worn. The curtains looked like they hadn't been replaced since the 90s. There was no microwave or fridge in the room. There was a coffee maker but no condiments to go with it. Camden is a charming place to stay and the High Tide Inn is right on the ocean shore, which probably explains the rates. But if Marc wants to make this place work, he needs to do some work on the place. "
