'This place exudes peace and tranquility! It’s so quiet and beautiful, yet close to town and lots of hiking trails. We loved seeing sea otters and bald eagles frolic outside from the warmth of the living room.'

'Absolutely loved this little home on the farm. Had plenty of privacy, the owners weren’t in our bubble at all. The beds were so comfortable, everything was clean, plenty of towels. I think an upgraded coffee pot would be nice, it was a slooow trickle. Keurig would be even better. And a way to store leftovers - foil, saran wrap, tupperware, etc. There was none and that’s a pain to deal with on vacation. But highly recommend this place. 'This rental was very nice with fantastic views of Sucia & Matia Islands. The house is large with lots of sleeping options. The kitchen was well stocked and the hot tub utilized after some good hiking days. The sunny but cool spring weather allowed us to lounge by the wood burning stove. Having a truck, I opted to back down the narrow driveway which I thought was easier to manage. Thanks for sharing your wonderful home.'

'Great last minute spring break trip. Nice to have the hot tub and fire pit under cover so there were rainy day activities. Beach access is really just for smal boats/kayaks. Nice local coffee was a cozy touch.'

It's centrally located for easy exploring of all parts of the island-- from Doe Bay and Obstruction Pass to Deer Harbor. We loved the garden setting. 'Pat the owner is so kind and responsive. He actually upgraded us last minute to a larger cabin. Its very close to a beautiful hiking trail out the back of the cabin. The neighboring cabins are close but there is plenty of privacy. Pat gives great suggestions on places to go, and things to do. We would love to come stay again. The land is so beautiful and the drive there is well worth it.'

Only negative was we were given wrong key lockbox code and took 30mins of holding on telephone before we got a live person at 11pm who was able to get property manager. Rest of stay was excellent.'

'Out of all of the places that I rented this is the one where the pictures just do not do it justice! The place is amazing and so cool!! It’s much bigger than I thought and more breath taking than we can imagine! All amenities are included , wifi was awesome and such a private stay! If I could give a 10 star I would !! We only stayed a couple of days but you could stay much longer and be happy! The experience and pictures make it so worth it!!'

'We really enjoyed our stay at the Sand Castle. We had a big room with a great view. It's across the street from the water and the sunsets were beautiful. The employees were friendly and helpful.
