Welcome to Woodland Pointe; a true taste of the best that coastal Maine has to offer. This 3BR, 2BA home has over 2000 sq ft of open living space. Situated on 20 extremely private acres of woodlands. It overlooks more than 600 feet of panoramic shoreline on Holmes Bay that youโ€™ll have all to yourself. Classic Northeastern Cape architecture meets modern amenities in this comfortable, cozy retreat. Purposefully situated on the banks of Holmes bay, youโ€™ll enjoy watching the daily tidal movement and revel in the evening sunsets. Wildlife abounds both on the land and in the water with plenty of deer, turkeys, waterfowl, crustaceans and even the occasional moose.
Located a short drive from both Cutler and Machias, this property offers the best of both worlds โ€“ far enough away from civilization to enjoy the wooded serenity, yet close enough to head to Hannafords for some groceries or to dinner in town. This secluded home has a large deck that offers quiet and stunning views of sunsets, migratory birds, and the scenic rocky bay. The home is direct waterfront on the coast, with unending views of the ocean with steps that take you down shore for beach combing. With the natural beauty of the surrounding area, you will be able to stay connected to the rest of the world with cable and TVโ€™s in every bedroom. Mesh Wi-Fi and high speed internet is available throughout the house. There is a bedroom on the first floor connected to a full bath, and both bedrooms on the second floor (one king bed, one queen bed) have daybeds for children and a bathroom complete with Jacuzzi hot tub and dual vanities. With a sofa bed in the living room, this home can comfortably sleep 10 people.

This was a return visit for us. Lovely, spacious, well-appointed home in a very private, quiet location. It is a great home base for exploring the area - Cutler, Lubec, Campobello, Eastport, Cobscook Bay, Schoodic Point. Lots of hiking trails for all abilities with stunning scenery. Machias is convenient for restaurants and food shopping, gas stations, etc. The owner and the property manager are terrific & very helpful. Highly recommend!

We love Maine summers and Jenny's home is perfect for our family. We look forward to the relaxation and getting away from things for a while. The view out the numerous windows and doors in the back towards Holmes Bay is spectacular. You can see the tides come in and out and the view faces almost due west for great sunset views every evening. The home has all the supplies we need to be comfortable for the week. I'd recommend the home for any family looking for a quiet escape to nature.This was our second consecutive year staying here and we've already booked again for next year! That should tell you all you need to know as to what we think of this home! We're looking forward to next year already.

We had a fantastic stay! The house was clean, quiet and comfortable and waking up to a fresh sea breeze every morning was energizing. We went swimming nearly every day and took several area hikes. We also loved the proximity to Canada, and did a day trip to Campobello Island. Our only complaint: We couldn't stay longer! We can't wait to come back.

Awesome Place

We had a great stay with our pup! Great location, very private with great views of the bay but still close to town to grab groceries and dinner. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and very clean. They even had toys for our dog which she loved! The best part was sitting on the deck watching the sunrise or sunset. We hope to be back soon!

Amazing

This house has it all and more, from a pancake griddle and ice cream scoop, to plenty of tissues and toilet paper, to puzzles and marshmallow roasting sticks, to all items needed for cooking lobster and other meals. It had everything we could possibly have needed. The property manager was very responsive when we discovered that the disposal wasnโ€™t working and got it fixed within a day.

amazing stay!!!

I can't say enough good things about this place. My husband and our two pups stayed here for a week for our 10 year anniversary and had the BEST time. The house has everything you could ever desire and was WELL equipped for cooking lobster meals at home as well as very pet friendly with a basket of toys our pups loved to rummage through. Everything is exactly as pictured; kitchen well stocked, very clean, SUPER comfortable master bed & couches, good communication with host/manager, and beautiful views for days. Things to bring: muck boots for exploring the low tide (they do provide a few sizes), bug spray, rain gear for moody weather, and recommend booties for doggy paws (it is rockier and more sharp shells than we realized at low tide and our poor pup got a minor cut to his paw at the beach). The owner even provided a set of doggy booties we wish we had used. Highly recommend doing a lobster tour of the cutler harbour, we had an AMAZING time and they sent us home with some lobsters and crabs, talk about fresh! Also highly recommend the coastal trail at Quoddy head State Park (incredible views) and Lubec brewing company for a beer after, and any of the hikes on the bold coast (boot head was amazing!) are otherworldly, last the public house has AMAZING food & cocktails for a fancier dinner. We are so grateful to have stayed here would definitely come back. We will miss those sunsets on the back deck! Thank you for an amazing stay!

From seeing the turkey cross the driveway at the turkey crossing sign and then getting to watch the Doe eating grass from the lawn and then posing for a pic from the front door, what a great location!! We won't hesitate to stay here again when in the area.

We stayed here while visiting family from the area. It was amazing. Plenty of space, clean and right on the beach. We did not experience a single issue from booking to check out. Sunsets were beautiful and all the driving distances listed were accurate.

Amazing retreat

This was a perfect, private getaway. The views were absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset and the only neighbors we saw were a couple wandering turkeys. The house is extremely well kept with some of the most plush carpets I've ever felt. I will definitely try to stay here again, hopefully in the summer to enjoy the rocky beach below!

Great stay in Cutler!

This property is perfect for a family getaway with pets. The owner was very responsive to all our questions. The property had a lot to offer: Beautiful views. Large bedrooms. Access to the beach below. Lots of land with privacy. Close to a small town. We took their advice and got lobsters from Captain Matt's. They were delicious! There is one thing that could be improved: the beds could be more comfortable. Adding mattress toppers might help. We would definitely come back!

Absolutely accurate "Woodland Retreat"

The property is 500% as listed; private, in the woods, steps down to ocean, spacious and comfortable. We are a family of 4, loved the puzzles, foosball, outdoor space and indoors had everything we needed. We had a fun power outage adventure due to high winds. Jenny responded immediately with where to find flashlights and a timeframe of when it would be back on. Highly recommend this property, we never wanted to leave the house!

Great spot!

This was a great house and location for a get-away weekend with some friends. The layout is great with large, comfortable bedrooms with good mattresses, a big, open space to gather, a nice kitchen, and a game room in the basement. The tucked away location was also great! Plenty of (rocky) beach to explore. We'd definitely stay there again.
