A beautiful hotel located at the edge of the fun city of Hoi An. Though most of the facilities are good to excellent, in our opinion there's room for improvement in certain areas. What we didn't like is the fact that the hotel itself is a tourist attraction as it's part of a 'silk village' (silk shops) which attracts loads of tourist busses at the end of the day: these tourists are being catered (the preparations you can smell early in the morning) and have the option to stroll around the facilities. Also because of these visits, we're of the opinion there's a lack of attention/interest in the restaurant towards regular guests. You eat there the first night of your arrival and then immediately draw the conclusion that the rest of your stay you're going to dine downtown. Overall the people working at the restaurant/breakfast area lack knowledge of the English language and give the impression not to enjoy their job in way they approach the guests. The swimming pool is of a good size and offers sufficient shade as well as sunbeds. What we didn't like there is the fact that drinks were served in glass cups which were allowed into/around the pool: if one shatters into pieces you've a major problem! Instead of staying around the pool, the hotel offers a shuttle to a 'private' (not only this hotel though) beach. The shuttle functions perfectly and the beach is good! Hotel rooms are of a good size, clean, crispy bedding and nicely decorated with fresh flowers and fruits upon arrival.
