'Staff are good and courteous however they need training to handle international guests. The biggest problem was that there was rattling noise from above the room throughout the night. We could not sleep. Called the Front desk but the staff seemed helpless . Food was excellent and easily exceeded my expectations.'

Only the last 2 days it was cleaned. Overall the hotel is ok. Just book yourself a standard room. It's not worth the money to spend more on other rooms. The hotel staff is great. Friendly, helpfull and will make you feel welcome.'

'Arrived in a heavy rain, and after the check-in I was brought to the room.The room was flooded with water (almost halve of the room was covered with water on the floor). A replacement suite, gave the same result. Also completely blank with water. The third room was better and DRY. Quick respond of hotel staff, and ample apologies.'

'Uitstekend hotel met veel comfort, geweldig personeel en in centrum Kolkata. Zondermeer voor herhaling vatbaar. Voorbeeld ter illustratie: 's morgens om half 6 met hoteltaxt naar vliegveld. Staat er ongevraagd een doos met ontbijt gereed. Of beltegoed lokale simcard is op en hotelpersoneel zorgt er voor dat tegoed wordt opgewaardeerd terwijl ik al weer onderweg ben.
Een kritiekpunt: helaas WiFi tegen extra betaling na 1e uur gratis. Komt in het westen niet meer voor en past niet bij het...

So many hotel bathrooms I stay at in India are pathetic but not the case here. Also I had to check out at 3am and the staff helped me order a taxi to the airport (just a 5 min drive away at 3am) and carried my bag to the curb and talked to the driver for me since I only speak English. Would gladly stay again. '

'I know not everyone can speak english and i only speak very little Bengali ! But communication was a little difficult but wasnt a huge problem ! Everything got sorted in the end, nicely situated away from noisey road.'

'This hotel is quite nice and is located near shopping streets. You are able to go out to the Tantra nightclub if you're into clubbing in the nearby Plaza hotel. You can walk there in about 15 - 20 minutes.
It has a nice view if you're on the 8th floor facing the victoria palace. You are able to see the park and the palace itself. The 2 restaurants in the hotel are good as well and the Aaheli is recommended if you want to try Bengali food. According to an Indian and Bengali friend of mine this...
