This lake house was the perfect little retreat close to the wedding venue and close enough to the highway to get us to Kennesaw fairly quickly to visit with extended family. 'The almost 100 year old family homestead was clean and nicely decorated. Our hosts Delon and Laura were very friendly. Beautiful views of the river and mountains. Lots of birds. This would be a good place for bird watchers. Short travel to suck creek with waterfalls and clear blue water on the sides of the road heading up the mountain to the ridge of canyon.'

The only complaint I would have would be the busy street and it's loud at night when you're trying to sleep but that's nothing the owner can control. After long days spent in downtown Chatt, walking, hiking and exploring, we looked forward to coming back to this oasis and recharging. 'We enjoyed our stay overall - the location can't be beat! The house is on a quiet street but you're 5 minutes away from everything. There were lots of restaurants & shops to explore nearby on the North Shore. The house was very clean also. The knock on this one weas that the bedding was old & not very nice, especially for the extra beds (pull out couch, futon).'
