The open plan living space runs the full length of the lodge, flowing from sofa to compact kitchen with its copper touches and curved live edge shelves.

Good to Know Before You Book
This is a quirky shepherd`s hut, not a hotel, so do expect a few rustic touches. There are wooden floors throughout, steps leading up to the front door, and an open tread spiral staircase to the upper level, so please supervise children. Water is mains supplied but waste goes to a septic tank, so only flush human waste and small amounts of toilet roll. Gas comes from Calor bottles. The lodge sits beside a working dairy farm, so you may hear cows and occasional farm traffic on the lane, though most of the time it is wonderfully peaceful. Please leave your car at the top of the slope by the gate under the tree rather than driving onto the lawn, which ruts easily and can get stuck when wet. Candles are not permitted inside due to fire risk. We are some distance from public transport, so a car is recommended. No pets, though if you would like to holiday with a dog we recommend the neighbouring Clotted Cream Cottage. Check in is via a key safe on the gate post, with full instructions sent before arrival.
Extra charges
Early check in and late check out are each available at £20 per hour, subject to availability and requested after booking.
