BELANGRIJK: Het is noodzakelijk om een veerboot naar het eiland Daufuskie te nemen en de kosten van boot- en grondtransport bedragen ongeveer $ 55 per retourvlucht per persoon (parkeren kan extra zijn), met kortingen voor kinderen van 5 jaar en jonger.

DE DAUFUSKIE SUNRISE COTTAGE biedt gezinnen die op zoek zijn naar een huurwoning op het eiland Daufuskie de mogelijkheid voor een prachtig uitzicht op de oceaan, eindeloze strandtijd om te zwemmen en zandkastelen bouwen, en een goed uitgerust en aantrekkelijk vakantiehuis met alle comfort die u nodig heeft.

Dit strandhuis met 2 slaapkamers is perfect gelegen met direct uitzicht op de oceaan en met het strand op slechts 60 seconden lopen van uw voordeur!

Begin uw ochtend op uw afgeschermde veranda en geniet van een kopje koffie terwijl u de zon ziet opkomen boven de Atlantische oceaan, en eindig door naar de oude Daufuskie Crab Company te gaan voor cocktails en diner als de zon ondergaat over de Intracoastal Waterway.

Het interieur van het huisje is ook prachtig. Dit is een van de gerenoveerde strandhuisjes, en u zult genieten van een open en ruime woon / eetkamer / keuken met een mooie nautische inrichting die ideaal is voor familiebijeenkomsten of quality time met een groep vrienden. Het beschikt over een tv in de woonkamer en beide slaapkamers, een dvd-speler en gratis WiFi. Elk van de twee grote slaapkamers heeft twee queensize bedden en een eigen badkamer. Uw volledig uitgeruste keuken met Corian-aanrechten is perfect voor het bereiden van maaltijden die binnen of buiten op de beschutte veranda kunnen worden genoten.

Dit vakantiehuis heeft ook een gasbarbecue voor uw eigen barbecues, strandstoelen en een parasol. Voor bezoekers die in de koudere maanden komen, is de Sunrise Cottage een van de weinige Melrose-strandhuisjes met een open haard.

Hoewel het Melrose Resort gesloten is, zijn het Beach Club Restaurant en het zwembad onlangs opnieuw geopend en liggen beide op loopafstand van uw cottage. Het zwembadseizoen begint op 1 april, volgens de managementgroep. (Let op: er kunnen kosten van toepassing zijn.) De manege is ook weer in gebruik en paardrijden is beschikbaar.

Bezorgd over de logistiek van naar het eiland komen, boodschappen halen, etc etc? Geen zorgen te maken! Je ontvangt veel goede informatie en hulp van het team van de Daufuskie Rental Group die allemaal op het eiland wonen en 24/7 beschikbaar zijn voor eventuele problemen. Zoals met alle huurgasten van DRG, streven we ernaar om van de Daufuskie-ervaring een stressvrij en plezierig avontuur te maken. Als je eenmaal hier bent, zullen de DRG-mensen beschikbaar zijn om je kennis te laten maken met ons unieke en prachtige eiland dat je wilt verkennen op de gratis golfkar die bij deze cottage is geleverd.

First time on the island. Great location. Right on the beach. Sit on the porch and watch the sunrise with some coffee or the the sunset with a meal. Ride or watch the horses, ride the golf cart all over.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable for our three-generation family of six. The kitchen is well-equipped and, in addition to regular dishes, even had plastic cups and plates for young children. The location is excellent -- just a few steps from the beach and a lovely beach view from the kitchen, living room, screened-in porch, and one of the bedrooms. We enjoyed visiting the island's historical sites, Lucy Bell's Cafe and School Grounds Coffee, running on the beach, hunting for shells, riding bikes, and spotting alligators. The rental team was very easy to work with and sent us all the information we needed to figure out the logistics of our first-time Daufuskie visit.

This home has an incredible view of the ocean and a nearly private beach. Each morning for our sunrise walk we only saw one or two other people. How can you beat that? The location is quiet and peaceful. Perfect for a get-away. The service of the Daufuskie Rental Group is incredible. I forgot a much needed medication and they liaisoned bringing it to the front door. That certainly exceeded my expectations, especially for the remote location. I would return to this property.

We had a pleasant and safe family getaway with the most beautiful ocean view. Waking up in front of the beach is unbeatable. The beach was practically all to ourselves and provided a great way to relax and to exercise at leisure.

Truly a special place. Sunrise cottage is right on the beach and has everything we needed for a relaxed, easy time on the island. Beds were super comfortable and sitting on the porch listening to the waves was a delight any time of day. The kitchen is well equipped and perfectly located in the house for making meals and still being a part of the action. Deborah was super communicative whenever we had a question and was kind enough to give us local tips and insights about island happenings. My family of 3 had a wonderful time and would happily recommend Sunrise Cottage and Deborah to anybody.

We spent 6 nights in Sunrise Cottage and absolutely loved it. The property was cute and clean. The beaches were practically empty (which was great for us looking to enjoy some privacy and time away from the rat race). The sand is truly a 60 second walk from the back door and the screened porch was nice to listen to the waves. This vacation was unlike anything I have ever planned and Deborah and her team were responsive to my questions about logistics. My husband and I would definitely go back.

The Cottage caught my Family and I like a glove. The Cottage is on the Beach and the Sunrises are truly amazing. The Island is absorbed with a kind and kindred feel! We all enjoyed getting our hands dirty and exploring the Island with the Golf Cart as well. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Melrose at the Sunrise Cottage. The management staff was responsive to our needs and checked on us throughout the week with recommendations for activities and restaurants. We would highly recommend to any family looking for a place to escape and unwind.

This was my second stay at the sunrise cottage and it was as wonderful as the first! The cottage is beautiful and and the views are even more amazing! I love the ease of walking onto the beach and getting around the island. Everything you need is provided in the cottage. We did not feel like we were missing anything during our stay. It was wonderful! Everyone involved with the property is wonderful! Deb, Karen and Karla are so sweet, accommodating and easy to communicate with. I love spending the morning drinking my coffee on the screen porch and watching the sunrise. The beach is so peaceful and relaxing and it’s easy to spend hours there. This is my favorite spot! There are a few places to eat on Daufuskie and they each have something for everyone. We enjoyed all the food and the friendly staff! We also loved exploring the island and learning more about its history. Daufuskie is truly a hidden gem. Everyone on the island is incredibly friendly and helpful! We love Daufuskie so much we will be returning in 3 weeks! Thank you for another lovely stay! See you soon!

Daufuskie was amazing and this property is part of the reason why. This is an excellent beach cottage and it was exactly what we were looking for. Communication was easy and Deborah and Karla were both friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!
