  • Potters Cottage is een charmant, traditioneel Victoriaans huisje in het hart van het beschermde gebied van Deal. Op slechts een paar minuten lopen van de historische hoofdstraat, met zijn kleine boetiekjes en cafés, en nog een paar minuten verder naar het uitgestrekte strand. Het huisje is ideaal voor stelletjes en gezinnen dankzij de flexibele slaapmogelijkheden. De tweepersoonskamer kan worden omgevormd tot een superkingsize bed, en de hoofdslaapkamer heeft twee opklapbedden voor kinderen. Het huisje baadt in natuurlijk licht en is heel rustig. Buiten is er een mooie, ommuurde binnentuin met bomen en struiken, die een rustige, zonnige groene plek biedt, weg van de drukte van de stad.

    We vragen je vriendelijk om je aan de volgende huisregels te houden, om schade aan ons prachtige vakantiehuis te voorkomen. Mocht er toch schade ontstaan, houd er dan rekening mee dat de kosten in mindering kunnen worden gebracht op je borgsom.
    Let op: uitchecken is om 10.00 uur. Zorg ervoor dat je op tijd vertrekt, zodat onze schoonmakers de woning kunnen betreden en deze kunnen klaarmaken voor de volgende gasten.
    Roken is in de woning te allen tijde verboden.
    Houd er rekening mee dat het aantal gasten om verzekeringsredenen niet hoger mag zijn dan de maximale bezetting van het huis (zes gasten).
    Gebruik om brandveiligheidsredenen geen kaarsen in de accommodatie.
    Wees respectvol tegenover de buren. De stilte-uren zijn tussen 23.00 uur en 09.00 uur.
    Feestjes en luide muziek zijn niet toegestaan.

Delightful and comfortable

The Cottage was delightfully decorated and well equipped. It was very comfortable and was a relaxing place to stay. We liked the well maintained courtyard.

Fabulous stay at Potters Cottage

We had a very comfortable stay at Potters cottage. The property is superbly furnished and equipped with everything visitors would need for their stay. The property is a few minutes from the beach, railway and shops and the area is beautiful. I would rebook without hesitation.

Maybe the best holiday cottage ever.

Potters Cottage is in a lovely location in a row of similar houses. Very quiet. Sitting out patio for dining with parasol and cushions. Extremely well kitted out Especilly the kitchen. A downstairs WC was useful with a separate shower room upstairs and bathroom with gorgeous slipper bath - again both with own WC. Bed linen crisp and white with an abundance of towels. Loved the pottery dotted about and the artworks on walls - felt like a petite art gallery. Easy walk to town, beach, even Sainsbury’s for supplies.

Great property in a great location

Potters Cottage is a lovely spacious property in an excellent location. A five minute straight walk from the train station and supermarkets which made it very straightforward getting our shopping before heading to the house for our stay. The house is light and airy and I was impressed with the fact the house has three bathrooms, which is always a plus! The house is situated just behind the high street so a nice close walk to the shops and the sea front. While certain aspects of the house decor could do with a bit of a freshen up, overall it’s a great property to enjoy a stay in Deal!

Easter in Deal

We had a lovely stay at the cottage over Easter weekend. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking, and the cottage benefits from a nice outdoor space. The house is a little old fashioned, some could call it charming. Pillows could do with being softer. All in all, it's good value and in a great location for the market and high street, and only a couple of blocks from the seafront.

Lovely cottage.

In many ways Potters Cottage was a delightful cottage, characterful, well maintained and generously equipped in a great central location. However there are two reservations. First, as we reported, there was a moth infestation which was clearly not new, and still noticeably active. This meant we had to take laborious steps to protect our belongings on return home, Second, there was a lack of useable wardrobe space because the space was untidily stacked with extra equipment and other belongings. My recommendation (below) is subject to these reservations which I trust can be addressed.

Perfect for our needs. Clean and spacious. Short walk to center of town, restaurants and pubs. Only (small) negative is the noise from critters running on the roof - got used to that after couple of days.

Fabulous Cottage Gem

A gorgeous homely cottage. Excellent location for the High Street full of independent cafes and shops and easy access to the seafront. The cottage is extremely well equipped with lovely touches such as battery candles in lovely glasses, interesting books and magazines. The kitchen has everything you could wish for. The lounge is very comfortable as are the bedrooms with very comfortable beds. A warm, cosy delightful cottage.

Relaxing stay in beautiful Deal

We had a lovely week in Deal, and fully enjoyed our stay. The cottage was comfortable, quiet and well equipped. It was also spotlessly clean. A short stroll and we were into the town or at the seafront. We thought parking was going to be an issue, but a non-restricted space could be found in a short distance. Would thoroughly recommend a stay at Potter's Cottage.

Nice place

Parking is a problem,we had to park the car about 600 metres away. There should be an instruction how to work the heating. Very suitable for elderly people because of the handrails. Kitchen extremely well equipped.

It could have been very nice without the moth infestation and if the toilet flush had worked. Unfortunately, we were also not informed that an early check-in would have been possible.

A wonderful break at Potters cottage

Potters cottage is conveniently located for everything in Deal and a great base to venture out to see more of Kent. The house is spotlessly clean. It has a very homely feel and we felt very comfortable there. The house has all the conveniences you need. The beds are very comfortable. Parking has no restrictions after 5.30pm until 8.30am and during the day you are allowed to park for 2 hours. We would certainly recommend Potters cottage if like us you want a comfortable stay in a handy location. Keepers cottages were excellent, keeping us informed, a little welcome bundle of muesli, coffee and oat milk on our arrival .Refunded the security deposit without having to chase. Would highly recommend the property and Keepers cottages.

Sehr gut gelegen

Potters Cottage ist ein sehr englisches eingerichtetes Haus mit viel Platz. Die Lage in Deal ist ausgezeichnet, die Nelson Street liegt am Rand der City, alles ist fußläufig erreichbar. Einen Parkplatz etwas weiter außerhalb zu finden, ist kein Problem. Den Schlüssel gibt es komplikationslos über einen schlüsselsafe am Haus.Es gibt zwei Schlafzimmer, eins mit einer sehr weichen, großen Matratze und eins mit zwei nicht ganz so weichen Einzelmatratzen. Außerdem gibt es zwei Badezimmer, eins mit Dusche, eins mit Badewanne. Zudem drei (!) Toiletten, wobei der Abzug nur bei einer wirklich immer zuverlässig war. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es gibt auch ein Esszimmer mit einem schön großen Tisch. Das WLAN funktioniert sehr gut und der Fernseher ist Fire-Stick-fähig. Der Außenbereich ist sehr schön, aber eher nur zum Essen und nicht zum Entspannen geeignet (da "nur" mittelbequeme Stühle). Das Sofa und die Sessel sind leider nicht so richtig bequem, aber für eine Woche okay. Das Haus war bei unserer Ankunft sauber (nur hinterm Fernseher wurde noch nie gereinigt). Die Betreuung durch Keepers Cottage ist hervorragend.In der Nähe sind zwei Supermärkte und Deal ist voll mit sehr guten Restaurants.

Nice decor but problem with moths and room temperatures

Potters Cottage is nicely decorated and has a well equipped kitchen. However, as there is no door from the lounge down to the cellar, the living room and ground floor felt very chilly indeed at night. The second bedroom upstairs by contrast, was incredibly hot for our child to sleep there comfortably. There is a problem with the thermostat. The main thing was that there had clearly been an outbreak of moths prior to our visit as there were moth papers with dead moths stuck on them hung up everywhere in the cottage, which did not feel very hygienic at all, and it was a worry about unpacking clothes into cupboards. We did not expect this outbreak and it made us feel uncomfortable. It is great that there are x 3 WC's for families. However The flush on all 3 toilets was extremely weak and sometime did not work.

Happy Potters Cottage

A wonderful sunny week in friendly Potters Cottage. Immediately felt at home - everything to hand and a lovely pretty small garden. Very close to High Street with small shops supplying needs, short walk to sea, pubs and restaurants. I lived at Kingsdown for many years but home is now in Bucks. Missing the sea I return every year to Deal - home from home for me! Thank you Keepers and Potters Cottage. See you next year!

Lovely, traditional cottage in a central Deal location

My 84-year-old mum and my brother thoroughly enjoyed their stay at Potters Cottage last week. The location was perfect - central, close to shops, pubs, the Saturday market and the seafront, but also very quiet - and the fact there was a disabled parking space right outside, was a real bonus! The decor was classic and traditional, but the property was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the dividing doors between the kitchen, dining room and living room made it a flexible space for the 4 of us to spend time together - eating, drinking, playing games and watching TV. The weather was 'mixed' so we weren't outside as much as we'd have liked, but the outdoor space was a decent size and private. The only negative comment my mum made ALL week was that the garden wall would have looked better painted. A tiny point. We'd recommend the property to anyone looking for a comfortable, spacious, reasonably-priced holiday property in Deal!
