'The property itself is beautiful, lots of culture! Great location, right around the corner from the party scene, yet quiet at night. The only complaint was anywhere except the room was very very hot. It is mostly an outdoor effect other than when in your room.'

'The hotel was quintessential NOLA..small intimate full of character being an older space. The hotel being aged does not mean it has to smell awful. Since they have no air conditioning it was very damp and hot and smelled like mold and mildew. The rooms also only had a small window unit which did not really cool the room in the summer heat. The attached bar was also hot and smelled bad. Staff was very kind is the only good thing I can say about this hotel.'

'The room was clean, but quite dark. We looked out directly onto the pool on the ground floor so we needed to keep the curtains closed the whole time so we had no natural light. There was also nowhere really to store any of our clothes which was a shame. Also, the only mirror available was either a small one in the bathroom or a slightly bigger one that was in the dark corner by the door. I understand that this property has a certain character or charm and that adds to it, but the door felt...
