'The location is sublime. The hotel has a lot of (old) charm. The staff is just amazing. The pool area is spacious with stunning views. The room was a bit small and uninspiring. It could do with an update. It felt like a throw back to the ‘70s. Perhaps I’m a bit sensitive but the sewage tank is located next to the pool area and the smell drifted over the pool area. All in all a good experience. '

'Important to note that Cala Deià does have a winding, narrow road that is difficult to navigate. If you can’t drive narrow roads, maybe consider only taxiing or leaving when it’s not busy. 'Out of the many properties we’ve rented throughout the world, this home was the best. Photos cannot capture the beauty of the home and views. We loved spending time in the large pool- perfect temperature. And watching the sunset from the front patio. The home itself was spotlessly clean and had all the things we needed for our stay. "We had a great week at El Cid. The hotel is perfectly located next to the beach, nearby many nice restaurants and super close to a bus stop from which you can get to Palma in 15 minutes. The staff extremely friendly, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was nice. For the people wondering whether it's a con to be so close to the airport: during the whole week there was only one airplane that flew directly overhead. The rest was so far away that you usually couldn't even hear them, so you won't be bothered by this."
