'Do not recommend for non-Spanish speakers. The hosts are lovely and the hotel is nice and clean, but communication for English speakers is tricky. Maybe if you speak French or Italian it could also work, but just FYI, none of the staff speak a word of English. But it’s pretty much like that in the entire Val d’Aran.'

'Standard double room was cosy. Balcony made up for it.Ski resort was a 15 minute drive up the mountain. Bus only at weekends. So car park was busy. Skiing was excellent for all standards. Local atmosphere in Benasque was wonderful. It is best not to book evening meals as there is so much choice. Next year a gondola will be available from Benasque to Cerler. Definitely coming back. '
