Misrepresented
Misrepresented - Arrived to find the property in disarray, with construction happening in yard. (Loose bricks laying about) Loud music playing for worker who was installing a door. (at 3pm I was informed music would be turn off at 9pm, is that a problem?) (as it turned out this issue was drowned out by loud hammering and repeated skill saw operation) Off street parking not available! ( I was informed that I was to park in the street, there were two owners cars blocking off street parking in the driveway) I was inform that television, large flat screen with sat service available. ( not plugged in, did not function after plugged in) Turned on shower and adjusted water. ( water attained temperature, then mysteriously stop flowing completely) At this point I had had enough, I packed up and politely informed the owner that “They were busy, and I was busy” “It is obvious that I can’t not get any sleep.” I left and got a hotel near the airport (Days Inn) with twice the amenities and quiet for $65 total price. The owner was contacted for a refund, two times by a third party representative, and once in person by myself. He stubbornly refused any refund, and I was out the full amount of $78 and change. (the room had been left better than I found it) Stay away!

This is a single family dwelling, privately owned, Air BnB, with rooms for stay. NO WHERE in the ad was this disclosed. I was traveling alone and am a smaller statured female. When I arrived to check in, NO ONE was there to check me in, take a payment or get me settled so I could return to my conference (a conference I left in order to check in so I wouldn't loose my room and was late in returning to due to this situation). The only greeter was a supposed older female guest who answered the door who defined the place as "weird". I tried calling the 303 number at the bottom of the confirmation but the voice mailbox was full, so I couldn't leave a message. The female guest apparantly called the owner and was able to leave a voice message as to my arrival. (Odd that she got through but I did not.) Before leaving to return to my conference, I left the female guest my card, asking to have the owner call or text me that I could indeed check in once my conference let out about 11:30pm or so. I left that location at 7pm and NEVER received a call or text confirming a late check in was acceptable. It's the NEXT DAY and still no call or text. PISS POOR customer service. PISS POOR explanation of location. PISS POOR communication. I would NEVER reccomend DIA Layover to anyone! Not even an enemy.

This is a Bed and Breakfast which should be noted because I thought I was lost but it turned out to be amazing. Edith was very accommodating caring assisting the guests were great as well. I felt comfortable grateful to stumble upon this great place

Nobody was there. Could not check in. Waited 2 hours and still nobody there. Had to go elsewhere. Trying to get refund. I hold Hotels.com responsible! Hotels.com misrepresented this "Hotel" as it is NOT a HOTEL.

I noticed I made my reservation for the wrong night. When tried to call and make changes, I couldn’t get anybody to answer the phone. Finally someone answered the next day. I told him I would like to cancel my reservation. He said he would need to talk with the manager. Waited a while, because of no response. When I finally got a hold of him again, he said that the ion was canceled. But, he told hotels.com the manager wouldn’t let him cancel. Tried calling back multiple times and he never answered the phone. This place will not work with you and is a SCAM. Please be aware!

静かで治安の良い住宅街の一軒家にある部屋で、清潔感があり広々していながら、自分の家のように過ごせました。朝食が出ませんでした。他のサイトを見ると、オーダー形式と書いてあったので、朝食が必要な人は事前に伝えた方がいいと思います。(エクスペディアの表示が分かりづらいと思いました)公共機関は徒歩で近くにバス停がありますが空港まで出ているかわかりません。駅からの場合は徒歩では遠いですが、オーナーがUBER(配車サービス)で送迎可能です。 今回は自分の予約ミスにかかわらず、(エクスペディアを見ると、今晩予約可能と書いてあったはずですが…？？次の日になっていたようです)夜中に柔軟な対応をしてくれたオーナーに感謝します(本来はチェックイン23:30まで)

This is booked as a bed and breakfast, and really it's just some guy renting out a couple of rooms in his house. You can't drink coffee because he doesn't like the smell he doesn't make you breakfast there is no breakfast. You're there with the bare minimum they give you one towel. With no place to hang that towel. And when you do hang it on the little knob in there he'll come in and tell you no no don't do that. I book this room for my handicapped mother who was staying over for a few nights and she had a terrible experience I highly recommend you stay somewhere else! They say that this is 6 miles from the airport know it's 13 miles from the airport.

I’m writing this review to make it clear to other people who see all the negative reviews. The DIA Layover is NOT a hotel! This is similar to a VRBO or AirBNB. I think this property gets a lot of negative reviews because it’s listed as a hotel and it’s not. The owner Paul has a very nice and spacious house (approx 5 bedrooms) and he rents out the rooms for people to stay. The house is very spacious, clean and Paul is very welcoming. Each bedroom has its own bed, tv and shower. My cousins and I had flights coming in at various times after mid night and could not check into our hotel until the next day. Paul gave us access to his entire house, including the kitchen and his WiFi. The house is located in a nice and safe location and there is free parking available in the driveway or on the block if needed. Staying at Paul’s residence was a great way to start of our Denver vacation! Thanks Paul for your kindness!!!

DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL!! THEY ARE A SCAM!!
So I book this room 2 months ago and had a very difficult tine with them. When trying to get a hold of the hotel no one answered the phone..I had to call more rhen once. When I finally got a hold of someonw I told them that I have arrived to my destination which was the Denver airport. They overbooked and I did not get a room with them. On top of that they said that they never had a reservation with me which was a lie. I had to stay at the airport for 6 hours till Expedia was able to relocate me to a different Hotel. I had to pay more money in order to get a different Hotel. Whoever looks at these rooms they look like a good bargain but please don't be fooled they are not very helpful and they might even not reserve a room for you even though they have taken money from your bank account and you might lose your reservation.

No rooms, all booked up despite confirmation !
I booked this room 10-12 days ahead of time and got a confirmation email from Expedia: "Your reservation is confirmed. No need to call to reconfirm." When I got there ~6:30 pm I was told they had no room and everything was booked up. It took about three hours but the guy was able to call a friend who let me stay with him. I don't know if it was his fault or Expedia's fault, but after I got there another couple came in to check in and were told the same thing. They had booked through another website, so I think it was DIA Layover's mistake. This form on Expedia required me to rate their cleanliness, etc. even though I never saw any room. They won't let you leave it blank, so I put in three stars out of five. Do not book here! If you do, be sure to call at least once to confirm in person. It's a private house in a cul de sac.

Sold room from under me. Had to sleep in my car.
Showed up to this place which ended up being a private residence in a suburb. Totally not what was expected from listing. When I arrived during check in time the owner was not there due to an emergency. There was someone watching the place but they could not check me in. I was told that the owner would return in an hour however I had an appointment and could not wait. I had to use the owners private restroom to change my clothes for the appointment I traveled for. I was encouraged to leave my bags, and told I would be checked in when the owner returned. When I returned at the end of a long day I found that I had never been checked into my room and they had booked my room from under me. I no longer had a place to spend the night and ended up sleeping in my car. Worst reservation I have ever made. I am disabled and walk with a cane...they didnt even bother to offer to carry my bags back to my car for me. DO NOT RESERVE A ROOM HERE, THEY DO NOT HONOR EVEN CONFIRMED RESERVATIONS.

Best stay yet!!!!!
I was nervous at first, because my boyfriend and I have never stayed in a DIA layover(home) before. But, It actually turned out to be our best stay in C.O. yet!! Paul(host) was very courteous and helpful. Instead of a hotel feel it actually felt like our "Home away from home". We enjoyed the backyard and living quaters very much. It was roomy and very clean. Also, the host do not get in your way or make you feel uncomfortable at all. The FREE breakfast(self-made) was very convenient as well! Last but not least, it was very affordable and we would definitely enjoy staying again. Thank you!

Pleasant Surprise
We did not realize that we had booked our stay at an actual home. I had tried calling a couple times to let them know we'd be arriving late. We got there about 9:30...they did not have us on their list for arrival but I had confirmation from Hotels.com. I am not sure where the mix up occurs but the host at DIA is very pleasant and will try everything he can to accommodate your every need! It's located in a residential area and we had our own bathroom plus any amenities you need are available somehow. As our first experience and it was very pleasant and cultural. I would definitely book again and spend more time in the area.

This is a house and rented rooms. I could hear the owners having conversations downstairs and the room was HOT. No fan no ac. Also please note the fine print. Taxes are NOT included on the listed price. They also overbook and told me that once they are full then no more guest.

you booked a BREAD AND BREAKFAST please check your reservation lodging tax in Denver is 14.15 every one pays taxes and also if we are sold due to our low prices we can't pack the building to more more than capacity level if we are sold we are full thanks for staying with us

House in the suburbs
I called to let them know that my flight was delayed so I would be arriving after midnight. I was told this was ok and to call when I would be arriving. I tried calling but the phone just said this number is not available. Upon arriving the front door was open. Little tags are on random door so you don’t know which one is a bedroom, closet, or bathroom. I knocked on every door and some had people in them. Some were locked. One room was open but there were odds and ends on the bed. The other room that was open had someone’s clothes and dishes in it and the bed was unmade—as if the person in the room had gone out for a bit. I ended up sleeping on a leather couch with no blanket. I was very tired from my flight and didn’t have the energy to go out at 1:00 am to look for another hotel. If Paul wants to have this as a Bed and Breakfast he should at least let guests know which room they are staying in and if they indeed have a room at all. It’s not pleasant having someone knock on your door in the middle of the night looking for their room. This location should not be on the hotel websites. It is called the DIA Layover Hotel but Paul said it is a Bed and Breakfast. It should be classified as such so that the unsuspecting customer has an idea of what to expect.

Dialay over is a bed & Breakfast i did explain to you when you called we close at 11:59pm when you arrived the front girl had left for the day because she goes home at 12 we left a room for you but you dint not call us to tell you what room number was yours we are always sold out and in high demand due to our low prices we are willing to give you 5 nights free of stay for the miscommunications and your delayed flight thanks we hope we can serve you better in the future

Great welcoming and friendly atmosphere
When I first arrived I was greeted by Florence, the host of the layover hotel with open arms! She gave me a tour and showed me to my room. The house is a home away from home, so nicely decorated and I immediately felt a sense of family. Every room was clean and comfortable and I felt right at home. Everything I needed to feel like home was provided and I was able to go 5 minutes up the road and buy groceries to cook at the house every meal. The price was the lowest price I’ve ever paid in this area and far surpassed my expectations. I found Florence to be an instant joy and a fast friend, I plan to stay in touch with her and stay there every time I visit my family in Denver. I highly recommend the layover hotel to anyone that reads this & will recommend them to everybody I know.

Beware. Don't Stay Here. Not Safe!
Very little truth in how the site is described on line. This is someone's house that they are renting out the rooms. The rooms only have standard interior locks like you'd find in a person's home. No way to secure your room if you step out. The one room we were going to stay in, but did not, had an open window covered by a curtain that looked into the main living room. No privacy and lots of noise. Don't be fooled by the "mountain view" photo. No view exists from this home - check it out on Google maps. The "airport transportation" is a coupon for Lyft that gives you a $10.00 discount if you sign up for the service. Very frightening place - with the lack of security, I would definitely not recommend to stay there night or day. This place is definitely a scam to pay someone's rent. I'm sure the neighbors do not appreciate the traffic.

This is not a hotel, or even a guesthouse!
This was advertised as a guesthouse with full amenities, including a kitchen and fireplace in each room, and a 24 hour hotel shuttle for $10.00. In reality, it was a private home that was renting out the bedrooms. When my daughter arrived, there were guests in the (only) kitchen, cooking dinner. Her room had a standard bedroom lock on the inside, but no way to lock it from the outside, meaning if she left she had to either take her belongings or leave them unsecured. Worse, the wall that her room shared with the living room had an unglassed window in it, covered by a curtain. Oh, and the hotel shuttle? It was actually a code for Lyft that the owner texted to her, saying she'd get a $5 discount if she downloaded the app (which she already had, so she couldn't even take advantage of the discount).
