'Very enjoyable stay at The Cheshire Cheese Inn, staff were very helpful and friendly. We had the evening meal and the food quality was excellent and the service great. Nothing was too much trouble and the team chatted to us throughout the evening. Breakfast the following morning was top notch (my particular favourites being the sausage and bacon). 'We had a lovely two night stay at Losehill. Ideally situated if you want to walk up Losehill or Mam Tor and Edale is a 20 minute bus ride away. The bus can be caught from the bottom of the lane. The service from every member of staff we encountered during our stay was outstanding. The food was excellent with amazing views as you eat.'

The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, all consisting of excellent locally sources ingredients expertly cooked. The property was conveniently located a short drive from Chatsworth House, Bakewell and a number of other tourist attractions. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again or to recommend to others.'

'As always, hospitality is defined by the people who provide it. The hotel staff was magnificent in this regard. From the breakfast servers to the front desk, everyone was kind, helpful and wore a smile. A special mention for the cleaning staff who did an excellent job every morning.
Breakfast was delicious with options such as eggs Florentine and eggs Benedict, although as a continental European i would have liked to have seen some cheeses at the buffet.

'The ladies who are running the hotel/pub so lovely - nothing is too much trouble - only been there 5 mths and they have their work cut out with the property and building it up again as a pub - all staff lovely , dog friendly - great location '
