'What an absolute little slice of paradise! G was a fantastic host making sure we got to our field alright and showed us how everything worked before leaving us too it. We had the most relaxing night looking out at hills by the fire and the hot tub and sauna were an absolute luxury. 'We have no complaints on our stay, we only wished that it would’ve been for longer. Our room was extremely comfortable, breakfast was the best! We will be back to explore the area and will definitely try and stay here again'

'Bathroom was clean, though pillows had make-up stains on and the heating was only turned on when we arrive so took a while to warm up. Staff friendly when we arrived. it is above a pretty noisy pub with inside steps from the pub or a fire escape style staircase from outside. Could hear a couple having an arguemnt on the street below as well. All in all, convenient if needing to be in area but not one if you need somewhere a bit more accessible or quiet.'

'The property has an imposing stance and even before entering, suggests a degree of elegance and style. The start was not good, however, as upon entering the room, I found that it had not been serviced. I cannot remember if I received an apology - suggesting that maybe I didn't - but the hotel deducted the price of two bottles of wine from a dinner for 8 as a paliative. Once serviced, the room was fine. It was well appointed, but cold initially as for understanable reasons of cost, the heating...

'As always, hospitality is defined by the people who provide it. The hotel staff was magnificent in this regard. From the breakfast servers to the front desk, everyone was kind, helpful and wore a smile. A special mention for the cleaning staff who did an excellent job every morning. Breakfast was delicious with options such as eggs Florentine and eggs Benedict, although as a continental European i would have liked to have seen some cheeses at the buffet. 'The room was a bit dated but very clean. Bed very comfortable! The only thing that let it down for us was that the bar was closed (closed Mon-Thurs) which would have been nice to know at the point of booking.'
