Property is dirty on the outside. Trash and cigarette butts all over. Sink would not drain. The requirement of a deposit is ridiculous if it’s not refunded immediately. You didn’t wait for my money but I have to wait for mine?? Also staff who are providing service to guests should speak English.

I booked this property because based on the reviews and pictures on Expedia, it was clean, updated, and safe. I certainly didn’t feel that way when I arrived. 1. There wasn’t anyone at the front desk, the place looked abandoned when I arrived, around noon on Saturday. 2. After receiving my keycard, I requested late checkout, this didn’t seem to be a problem, and the gentleman at the desk entered something into the computer to note my request. 3. Upon arriving in my room, the colors were not at all neutral like the photos, there was construction dust and debris all around, paint splatters throughout the property, including the shower, and bathroom, and the shower had dirt, and smears in it. The bed had black hairs under the covers. 4. Upon arriving back at my room before my late checkout time, I found one of the men who (I assume) works there (because nobody was wearing any sort of uniform or name tag), exiting my room. Why?! I requested late checkout, there was no reason for anyone at all to be in my room. This hotel seems unprofessionally run, unprofessionally renovated, noisy, and overall undesirable. While I am well aware that Des Moines Iowa may not be the ultimate travel destination for luxury accommodations, this property disappointed in so many way, and ultimately felt unsafe, unclean and unkempt. The greatest part, was that it was easy to make it back to the airport, and on Sunday, there was someone at the front desk to drive the shuttle there.

The property is quite rundown. There is no character or personality in the decor of the lounge. The check-in went smoothly, and then we were directed to the elevator, which was down a very long hallway. The premises were not taken care of the vacuuming needed done. The bed was great. The room itself was clean. The TV is very small. The breakfast was fairly good.

I got in to the hotel and I could tell it was very dirty, and when I got into the room it was worse. I demand a refund but they wouldn’t give it to me. I ended up getting a room at a different hotel and am hoping that I can dispute this with Expedia.

Overall the stay was quiet and pleasurable. The hotel was in a state of renovation/refreshing the rooms. The rooms could have been far cleaner just needed a vacuuming and sanitation. Overall I would stay again to see if improvements were made.

The place was dirty. Half of the building was being remodeled and nobody could be bothered to run a vacuum. The bed frame was broken so your feet were higher than your head if you laid down. The breakfast was very disappointing. Any school lunchroom would look like master chef compared to the scrambled egg pucks and microwaved sausage patties. The toaster didn’t work and the juice machine only spit out water. No coffee. The staff at the check in desk didn’t seem like they had ever been on the premises before. I asked for more towels because there were none at the pool. He acted like he had no idea where they kept them. While he went searching I watched him on the security camera screen mounted on the wall. Where I also watched the police escort a woman through the hallway on the way to their waiting cruiser out front. The full mariachi band complete with tuba practicing across the hall at 10:30 at night was a nice touch.

Terrible noise all 3 nights from other unruly guests. Told staff and all they did was apologize. Breakfast area was dirty, spilled OJ left on counter and onto floor, after telling staff. Partial electrical outage on final night, no light in windowless bathroom! Plus, no where did the description on Expedia website, did it mention a $100 security deposit. Terrible, will avoid all Ramada hotels in future.

There was a ton of traffic in and out of rooms. Doors slamming all night. People yelling and fighting. Large groups of people yelling at staff. Physically fighting one another. Absolutely trashy. I have very low expectation with hotels as is and I find myself easy to please. I never write reviews but this was by far the worst stay at a hotel I’ve ever had. Never again.

Good for a night.
Room was nice, beds comfortable enough, last minute booking price was great. The pool was not cold but definitely not warm. The breakfast left plenty to be desired.

Was an issue checking in--paid through Expedia but Ramada claimed 'single use card failure' and that I hadnt paid. Staff was kind and helpful and we got it resolved overnight. Property was fine, room was average. Bathtub was peeling and had mold along caulk line.

Average stay. Description of the amenities not accurate. Stated there was a restaurant on site and a bar. Neither existed! Electrical in room was not up to par. Desk panel electrical ports had no power, had to find other outlets to charge phones and laptop. Bathroom could use a little TLC. Toilet paper holder barely holding on to wall. Staff was friendly and room was clean.

Stayed here to catch a early flight after three hours of driving it was very cheap and fit my budget but i could have done better this place was not a good choice the breakfast was not fresh and the rooms were dirty and the pool are stanked! The smell is awful plumbing work I suppose not sure but won’t be going back , made a promise to myself to never be that cheap again cause you might end up with what I did I’m sorry but I’m honest was not a good experience!

Don’t stay here. They tried giving me a different room than I reserved but I had to check in and get keys and go to room first. Walked in that room and it was an absolute mess. Dirty sheets, floors and wouldn’t touch the couch. Security door from parking lot was propped open and trash all around it.

The room was clean. The bathroom amenities were inadequate as far as toilitries. Had to request drinking cups and no complimentary water. Breakfast was lacking freshness. Bisquits were dry and hard. No fresh fruits.

Overall cleanliness and basic maintenance of the hotel was below poor— it seemed like no one had done it in months, not to mention deep cleaning. The bathtub faucet and knob were smeared with white caulking, and one side had paint peeling off. The vents had layers of dust mixed with some kind of debris, wall corners had black residue mixed with dust, carpet smelled horrible, our bedroom door wouldn’t work unless you forced it up, bedroom was very dark— almost dungeon like. Do not recommend this place at all— highly disgusted

The lobby is in perfect condition. The room is ok, they need to prioritize in cleaning the room more often and replace beds and do a little TLC on the bathroom, and change the breakfast selection. Overall was ok for 3 nights. You get what you pay for it. The costumer service was great.

The staff were very friendly, the room was clean, bathroom clean, bed sheets clean and was very comfortable. The breakfast area was not clean. the tables, chairs, and floor were not clean. The breakfast was very poor. Days old biscuits stale. Gravy was frozen, just open the package and dump it in the hot pan to melt, terrible. The coffee was good. The lobby was clean and attractive.
