'Our stay at Burnhopeside Hall was one of our most memorable ever. Christine, our hostess, was delightful and helpful. The room was spacious and the surroundings could not have been more grand. 'This was our second stay at 40 winks and it was even better! Warn welcome, beautiful decor, delicious breakfast. Host went out of his way to make our visit run smoothly as we were here for a graduation ceremony. We will be back. Didn’t have time to use the new bar so we must return!! '
'Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. We hadn’t met the owner, so decided it was easier just to clean them both before using them.

'This was a very nice comfortable place. We had a little trouble finding it. Was easy to check in and out of. The only suggestion I would make was to put the exterior patio lights on a timer so that they turn off at night— if it’s hot and you have the window open then you have all the light from the patio. But it was very clean and comfortable.'
'The manager Anna couldn’t have been nicer. She greeted us with a cup of tea and biscuits and allowed us to check-in early and was very helpful with suggestions of things to do in the city. Rooms were comfortable and quiet and included on-site free parking. Location just a short walk into the centre. Breakfast also very good with lots of options. '

Excellent price. Fabulous clean room.
Large bathroom with corner bath and powerful shower. Lots of hot water, clean white fluffy towels. We upgraded to King size bed, patio doors to outside decked veranda. Fabulous in the warm weather.
