Een mooi huis met uitzicht op Doolin en de Aran-eilanden met het kasteel Doonagore in de buurt, verwelkomt u op de "Wild Atlantic Way"

Gelegen in een doodlopende straat van vijf huizen, is het verkeer minimaal en het enige geluid dat wordt gehoord, zijn het zachte loeien van koeien in de aangrenzende velden en het breken van Atlantische golven op de kust beneden.

Het uitzicht vanuit het huis is spectaculair, zee en lucht, met prachtige zonsondergangen over de Aran-eilanden en de baai van Galway.

Het huis is een stijlvol verbouwde cottage ontworpen door de eigenaar, een bekende binnenhuisarchitect, wiens familie al lang wortels heeft in Co. Clare.

Het thema van het interieur past in het landschap en weerspiegelt de kleuren van de landelijke omgeving buiten. Zachte, witte muren met eikenhouten vloeren door het hele huis creëren een sfeer van ontspannen eigentijds leven.

Meer dan 2800 vierkante voet groot, op driekwart van een hectare aangelegde tuinen, het huis is ruim voldoende voor zeven personen, zowel in ruimte als luxe.

Het bestaat uit vier grote slaapkamers, waarvan twee op de begane grond met uitzicht op de zee. Beide hebben een eigen badkamer, prachtig ingericht met stenen tegels en spiegelwanden om licht te reflecteren. Een van de ensuites is een "natte ruimte" geschikt voor ouderen of mensen met beperkte mobiliteit.

De hoofdbadkamer, ook op de begane grond, is uitgerust met bad en douche en is afgewerkt volgens de hoogste standaard.
Zoals met alle badkamers heeft het vloerverwarming.

Keuken, eet- en zithoek komen naadloos samen en vormen een centrale ruimte en zijn prachtig ingericht met grote comfortabele banken, zachte verlichting, tapijten en schilderijen. Een houtvuur in de woonkamer fungeert als een brandpunt en draagt bij aan het gevoel van warmte en gezelligheid.

Grote schilderachtige ramen langs de achterkant van het huis, brengen licht en zonneschijn in de open woonkamer en weerspiegelen het prachtige uitzicht rondom.

Sea Mist is te zien geweest in twee prestigieuze tijdschriften voor interieurontwerp, House Beautiful in mei 2015 en Home Interiors and Living in oktober 2015

This was our second time booking this property, and the first time staying during the summer. Last time we enjoyed a week here during the winter and both times have been spectacular. Definitely more to do in the summer though. We loved the close access to the Doolin ferry and all the shops and restaurants. This is a great location for driving to visit the rest of Clare on easy day trips as well. Our group had 5 adults and the house was spacious and comfortable.

We absolutely loved our week at Sea Mist cottage. It was perfect for our entire family of six, including my husband and I, my Mom, Brother, and our two teenage boys. The cottage was decorated so well, was so welcoming and comfortable, clean and spacious! It was fully equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our week as a family. The views were absolutely spectacular. We loved riding our electric bikes into town and throughout all the bike routes in the area. We thanked ourselves for selecting the electric bikes on the way back up the hill to the cottage. Something we highly recommend for other staying at the cottage. We couldn’t imagine taking that trek back up to the cottage on a normal bike! Sea Mist cottage was perfect for us to find time together as a family at the dinner table, enjoying the view outside, or just chilling in the living room. The description of the bathroom situation could be a little bit better on the listing. Explain that there is only a toilet and sink in the upstairs bathroom next to the two bedrooms up there (all 3 showers are on the ground floor). So if people staying up there want to take a shower, they need to come downstairs. The only thing we couldn’t really figure out very well was the combination washer/dryer. The binder of information on all the appliances was great, but no matter what setting we used, we never could seem to get our clothes all the way dry. Other than that, we absolutely loved everything else about the cottage.

Generously appointed, spacious and modern. I wouldn't hesitate to book Seamist for a longer time than the few nights we stayed. It was so difficult to move on - sunsets over the ocean, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings for long conversations, and a picturesque castle tower nearby. Nearby are so many engaging activities - the Cliffs, Aran Islands, hiking, biking, swimming, Doolin, Lisdoonvarna. Fantastic beds, lovely bedding and linens. On a quiet road, good access to walking paths. It's the country, so shop for groceries before arrival. Highest recommendation. Easy check in, great communications.

We loved everything about the Sea Mist cottage. The location was unbeatable (4-5 minutes from downtown Doolin), unbelievable views (over looking the great Atlantic) and the layout of the house was superb. The main living space was separated from the bedrooms which was awesome for a large group (minimize noise for people sleeping). The bedrooms were incredibly comfy and bathrooms spacious. The entire property was newly renovated and appointed with very nice materials/fixtures. Highly recommend.

The home is spacious and beautifully appointed with spectacular views of the North Atlantic. We were also delighted to discover that we had a castle as a neighbor! We enjoyed the tranquil setting and were provided with everything we needed. Both the host and the manager were very responsive and gracious. We enjoyed the traditional music in Doolin and the numerous restaurants/pubs and all right next to the cliffs of Moher!

The Seamist home made our first trip to Ireland a completely gorgeous experience! From the house we enjoyed the views of the ocean and the lush green scape. Upon entering the house we were in awe of the large size and the beautiful decor. We had more than enough space for our family of 5 adults. The house had all the comforts and supplies we needed so we were truly able to relax. And the Doolin area was everything we hoped for! We were able to travel to the Aran islands and Cliffs of Moher with ease. O’Connors pub was our favorite nearby restaurant and nightly hangout. We hope to visit this home again in the near future!

House, gardens, most furnishings are lovely. Perhaps starting to need a bit of TLC ie kitchen organization, some wonky light fixtures etc. Stunning views as promised, laneway in to house is quite rough. Doolin itself is charming, spread out over quite an area and a steep walk down and back to the house. Some great restaurants - our favourite was Glas.

My wife and I spent a week at Sea Mist cottage in Doolin. The house is very comfortable and the Doolin area is quite amazing in terms of restaurants, pubs and spectacular scenery. The pictures of the house and views really can’t do justice to how beautiful it is. I would highly recommend this property.

Great views , great house, Doolin a short taxi ride , not so easy walk, especially back to house. One issue, I thought all bedrooms had a private full bath, that's not the case. 2 downstairs bedrooms have full baths, but the 2 bedrooms upstairs share a 1/2 bathroom...the full bathroom for them to use is actually on 1st floor at end of hallway. That being said, would highly recommend.

The home is beautiful! Wonderful view. Nice size bedrooms and bathrooms. Large open kitchen and living area. Very quiet and relaxing. Diedre was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was very responsive to any questions we had. The town of Doolin is filled with the sweetest people on the planet!! We had such a wonderful visit. When we return we will definitely try to rent this property again.

If you are looking for a quiet stay with breathtaking views you will find them both here. We found so many amazing places to visit and things to do within a short drive of the house. The inside is exactly as pictured and has everything you need and more. The owner had an amazing ability to see what this seaside cottage could become. I am so glad they did. I will recommend Seamist to my friends and family and hope to return one day.
