'A truly enjoyable experience! The house was immaculate, and very comfortable. Lots of living space inside, and the screened in porch was a delight. The setting was idyllic, reminiscent of Thoreau’s Walden Pond. The host had everything you would need for entertainment, from fishing poles to a grill and fire pit to lots of games for rainy days. Lots of room for kids to play and explore. Our host was very nice, and very helpful!'

'We enjoyed our stay at the Lone Star cabin. It was tucked away in a quiet area between Maud and New Boston. Nights were filled with the sounds of nature... frogs, etc. Horses just behind the cabin. The owner was very responsive and the cabin was just the right size for my husband and me and our 13 year old Jack Russell. Great place to relax!'

'We stayed at the property over Easter weekend with family. There were four adults and two teens, and more than enough room for all of us. We were met upon arrival and given a tour of the property and shown how to use some of the things on site. And the host was available and responsive to our questions, This is a great place to enjoy the quiet of the country, with the conveniences of larger towns nearby. 'This tiny cabin was exactly as described, in a country setting with horses right behind the house. The pictures do it justice. It’s perfect for most people, but not for old fat folks like ourselves. 'We loved everything about this cute little cabin. It had everything we needed for our short stay here. My husband did some fishing and we both enjoyed sitting out by the fire ring. 'Maria has a very nice home. Her little dog Max is so sweet and well behaved. Her home is very clean and well maintained. Clean sheets and towels. The neighborhood is very safe feeling. I traveled alone for an appointment in Texarkana. I felt very safe staying here. I just needed a night. I got off work at 6 and drove my hour and 45 minutes. I arrived at 8pm.
