'I hit a deer on my way to the motel. So I couldn’t make it there. Expedia was awful!!!! Said I could not get a refund because I didn’t pay extra! I was 2 hours away I didn’t think I would hit a deer and not make it. Expedia no remorse. No care at all. I emailed downtown inn and within 10 mins they gave me a full refund!!!! I will be staying here every time I’m in Asheville from now on! Expedia….. I will not be using them unless it’s a last resort. '

'This hotel has spacious rooms and a welcoming lobby, and the friendly reception staff are happy to pour guests a glass of champagne to enjoy in the atrium or their rooms. An old department store, it still has mannequins modeling the latest 1920s fashion on the different floors. It’s in the heart of town, walkable to shops & restaurants, but also a bit noisy. Our room was unfortunately above the dumpster area, so we were awoken by the beeping of trucks backing up. A reason to pack earplugs in...
