'I've stayed at almost every no-frills motel in Eau Claire (I live in the Northwoods and do my stock up shopping in EC), and this one was the best. Perfect...no. It needs some work, but you can see the effort they are putting into it. Live plants inside, landscaping, clean, quiet. I watched one of the staff outside weeding and caring for flowers, and for the indoor plants which had been brought out, and it was clear the pride the motel takes in it's appearance.

There were so many choices for dining and all within a couple of miles. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Many hotels could take lessons from this Econo Lodge in the proper care and running of a hotel. '
