'I am full of praise for The Peacock Hotel. We received a warm welcome on arrival, and the staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Our room was comfortable and well-equipped, with a lovely view over the garden. Our evening meal in the restaurant was outstanding - delicious, high quality, creative and beautifully presented food- all served by a great team of staff in a relaxing atmosphere. This hotel is a wonderful place to stay and unwind Highly recommended.'

'It's on a round-a-bout which means that you have to look for the carpark. There is one & it is close by. We didn't stay in the hotel but in the Coachhouse. Breakfast was very good, staff are friendly. Has all the facilities but it's greatest plus point is where it is. Although I can imagine that some rooms could be quite noisy. '

'The hotel had lots of character. We couldnt fault the room. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The little touches like fresh milk and drinks in the fridge on arrival. Packed lunch every mornimg of our stay. Ideal location for exploring. The pianist in the restaurant in the evening was lovely.The food was very good.'

'Lea Hurst is a fantastic place to stay , Quiet and secluded. The house is beautifully restored and the room was superb good views over the countryside,, Jen was a superb host and made us feel welcome in her home. Excellent breakfast and the canal path only 5 minutes walk through the garden. Good location for visiting all of the Peak District. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return '
