'If there's a b & b anywhere where the hosts are more attentlve, i've yet to visit it. A real gem of a place, spotlessly clean, great breakfast and a 5 minute walk to the town centre make this a great place to come. We have been twice now and there is sure to be a third when we revisit Dumfries.'

'Very welcoming to a very comfortable room. We took dinner at one of the local pubs - but be early as they do stop serving food. Ample parking - although I think it was very quiet. It was an icy night - and unfortunately, the heating failed, so it was chilly in the room. Nice and clean - bathroom too.'

'After waking up in the morning the room and our clothes felt a bit dampy. Maybe because the room is located in the cellar. It had good coffee and tea facilities. The doorlock of the shared bathroom was loose / not working well. By closing the door from the outside and nobody was inside the door went locked. For tall people the ceiling of the bathroom could be to low. We had a good breakfast and the staff was very helpful.'

'Bij aankomst rook het huisje fris, de bedden waren netjes opgemaakt en alles zag er netjes uit. De wasserette en het parkwinkeltje zitten om de hoek, wat ook heel handig is. Bij aankomst lag er ook een dode vogel in de houtkachel, en we hebben er drie levende uitgehaald tijdens ons verblijf, dat was minder leuk. Het was wel fijn, dat we dicht bij de zee waren, nog geen 5 minuten lopen. Het tuinset was niet veel bijzonders..4 stoelen voorzien van roest voor een 6 persoonshuisje... tijdens ons...

'This was a great break in a gorgeous property. Everything was as described, including the facilities and location / proximity to the beach. I had no concerns about the dogs in the garden with the high and fully secure fence and all rooms were spacious to accommodate us. This was our third stay in Southerness and most certainly the best property we have stayed in. We will be back.'
