I booked the economy room. Mainly based on location, previous stay with other Leonardo hotels and recommendation from friend.
Unfortunately it was quite a horrific stay.
Let’s start withe good, it has plenty of it.
Location is simply amazing. Across from subway station ost strasse. Between shopping walhalla Kudamm/altstad and little Tokyo.
Few meters from hotel is a cheap covered car park. 12€ a day.
Hotel is quite nice. Bit older, but well maintained. Quite nice and deservedly called boutique.
What was not so good was the bed of the economy hotel. It just measured 140cm.
I don’t mind a small rooms, but that bed is small enough that they should warn about it in the description. Cause you can’t see the smallness In the picture.
The worse was the temperature. In advertisement they claim to have airconditioning. But either it was defective or it couldn’t lower the temperature enough in high summer.
Outside was 30+ degrees. But inside was sweltering.
Even with an extra fan it was no use. Room stayed hot until after 3 am. It was terrible.
I called the reception and it was explained that they had no5 real aircon, but more temperature control system that lowers outside temperature for a few degrees. Great in normal, utter sweltering horror in high summer.
There was no upgrade or different available.
The worse next momrning at checkout I was offered an upgrade!? To little to late more an insult.
