'House was great and had everything we needed. Highly recommend. Large and private, but not quite secluded. Can see other houses. Mountain driveway is not to be underestimated. 4WD required and need tall clearance under car. It is 1-car wide and challenged when you meet another car coming the other way. Close enough to both Shenandoah for outdoor activities and C’ville for city attractions. Cleanliness great! Communication easy and prompt. '

My family from the UK had the best time hanging out at the cabin. We were close to fishing, hiking and skyline drive so managed to get lots done in a short amount of time. Walmart was only 20mins-ish away so we could stock up on supplies if needed. The hosts thought of absolutely everything you could need and more. I was really impressed...

'This cabin was wonderful. Definitely off the beaten path but provided great quiet serenity after a full day in the park. You really can't beat something 15 minutes from the park entrance and also 15 minutes from town/groceries/restaurants. Stunning sunsets from the porch! The hottub was great after miles of hiking and it was so nice to be able to bring our dog, too. The yard was great to play fetch and explore. 'My friends and I had a fantastic time staying at the dancing bear. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. The host was also easy to get ahold of. There is a wonderful view from the cabin overlooking the valley below. Just make sure to bring a flashlight for the stairs leading to the firepit when going down there at night because they are unlit and one of my friends did trip when using them in the dark.'

'Fantastic property! A true getaway in the trees. Remote enough to feel away from it all but easy to get to town for supplies and to Shenandoah National Park for all it has to offer. The cabin is well stocked with all the essentials with some nice added amenities (hot tub, grill, fire pit). The view off the deck - anytime of day but especially including the sunset — is spectacular. Would recommend a car with AWD to navigate the driveway or would suggest parking at the top and walking down. The...

'We spent a wonderful week here with three generations of family and the house was wonderful! There were enough spaces for different groups to hang out while still allowing for everyone to be together. It's hard to find a quality house with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for a large group and this exceeded our expectations; strongly recommend!'
