'Fun resort with many different daily activities for families. Set on the fantastic east coast of Zanzibar, Diamonds Mapenzi gives you access to a beautiful beach with warm water and sports (additional charge). Food tasted good and staff was extremely helpful and friendly! Would stay here again '

'A smaller hotel but with provided a great experience. The staff were outstanding from reception to the bar. The rooms were very cool (we had a family room) and large, clean and very well appointed. The restaurant always looked good with many options enough to satisfy kids too. The kids also loved the pool & table tennis games room. The Dive centre in the hotel was also excellent and one of the reasons we chose this hotel. It all worked well. Just over an hour from the airport but plenty stuff...

'A wonderful hotel. Personally welcomed by the general manager Angela. Beautiful beach on your doorstep. Went to La Base Kite for lunch. Some points of interest: Cleaning fitness room and equipment. A number of devices are also broken. Follow-up of reported malfunctions is not yet well developed'

'Het verblijf is zeer netjes en proper, alles was naar behoren. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk, te vriendelijk zelfs. Het lijkt alsof ze onder druk werken, ze zijn bang om iets verkeerds te doen. Het strand ziet er geweldig uit, maar echt zwemmen zal niet mogelijk zijn want het zit vol met zee-egels. Het voedsel was lekker en er was ook genoeg variatie. Al bij al hebben we veel genoten van ons verblijf. Voor iemand die naar Zanzibar wilt gaan is dit hotel zeker een aanrader.'

'Perfect place to relax and enjoy beautiful beach, snorkling, kayaking. Villas are very nice, food is very tasty, staff is super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend. '

'What I liked the most is that the entire hotel was built around 10 living palmtrees. Trees are still growing (there are holes for them in the floor between ground floor and the first floor) and providing shade for guests and living room for birds.'

'Absolutely serene with breathtaking views. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of local fruits and vegetables to enjoy. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are cleaned twice daily; however, this is when money went missing from our bedside during the evening service. Unfortunately, this can happen if valuables are left out. I believe having notice boards reminding guests to be vigilant would be helpful. '

'Het viel ons erg tegen. De douche viel half uit elkaar. Dit bij de receptie gemeld, kwam een monteur om 21.30 uur langs, heeft gekeken en het probleem was opgelost.. Niet dus. Weer langs de receptie. Opnieuw een monteur gekomen, een deel van het probleem opgelost, maar nog steeds niet helemaal. Verder was de staat van de badkamer oud en vies, veel schimmel, rubbers die stuk waren. Prijzen van de drankjes en lunch prijzig voor wat je krijgt. Keuken is matig.'
