'Outdoor area was kept up nice! Liked the fact that there was wood provided for a fire! Had to purchase fire starter. Grill was charcoal fueled. Cabin has a cool vibe! Very clean! Furniture is comfortable. The heat didn’t flow well into bedrooms and bath. Light switches were confusing, signage for switches would be helpful. Amenity list could be updated (Keurig and coffee maker both available). It would be nice if some games were provided as well as scissors and lighter for fire/charcoal....

'The Sanctuary is a magical place carved into nature where for a short time the weary traveler can rest their body and their soul. The deer, beavers, swans and cranes were excellent hosts. The cabin is spacious, comfortable and well furnished. The human hosts are also gracious and welcoming. I've stayed there twice and hope to return again. '

'Old school cabin right on Lake Huron. Quiet, lovely views and wonderful breezes. Great location close to Tawas downtown and Tawas State Park. Reduced my stars because it could use a good deep clean - I have allergies and the moldy, musty smells made me miserable. Also stains on some of the bedding. '

'There was no a/c and it was 96 degrees outside. The only source of cooling was 2 fans provided. The curtains were sheer with other blinds so privacy was non existant. The floors and windows were updated and the couch and beds were comfortable. The appliances worked well. Very close quarters to other cabins and no parking room. The beach access was nice but not able to swim due to large rocks across the whole area. Seemed like it would be risky swimming. Overall it was an ok place to stay but...

'My husband and I spent the weekend here, and it was absolutely wonderful. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and such a refreshing escape from the city. We enjoyed watching the birds, but the highlight for me was seeing the baby deer roaming around. It was magical. At night, the stars were breathtaking, and the quiet made it even more special. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Sam, the owner, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Truly a perfect stay. We can’t wait to...

'Friendly people and workers clean room pool and got tub nice breakfasts everything was good but boiled eggs was frozen but think they might have had problem with the cooler they where in.'

'The breakfast was the only downside. The English Muffins were as hard as rocks. The eggs were rather hard too. Offer yogurt, fresh fruit, real butter packets, fresh muffins, juices and good coffee, like Biggby.'

'I needed a quiet, affordable place to work on a writing project and booked at the last minute (literally, I booked and immediately got in the car and drove three hours to the cabin). In spite of the last-minute booking, everything was perfect and it was exactly what I needed. I will definitely stay here again.'
