'All clean and lovely accommodation except for old water in the kettle and coffee machine... '

'I telephoned and it was disconnected. I went to reception which was under construction and dangerous. When I found someone they walked me back to reception through the mess of construction to pay difference of bill and give me a key. Room was clean and was ok for one night. No chairs. Tiny bathroom. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Parking was not the best. Place is well located to cafes and pub.'

'the Hotel is more like a motel with separate buildings behind the reception. However, design is modern, almost like a small resort, and great access to parking and to the main street of Hahndorf. The rooms are a good size and the bed is super comfy. One thing I am particular about is a good sized towel and their towels were bug and fluffy.. The rooms have a fridge, sink and tea/coffee which you dont really need given the great coffee in the area. Would totally stay here again'

'Longview is what you call a hidden gem. Let's start with the basics. Rooms are spacious. Have a full equipped kitchen. Wifi is free. Room comes with breakfast which is already in the room upon arrival. Egs, bread,Orange Juice, bacon, cheese, milk, cereal, tomatoes. Selection of tea and coffee for in a french press. 'Off grid cabin / eco tiny home in a scenic area in the hills above Hahndorf. The property had 8 cabins which were really well spaced out giving a feeling of privacy and the area had many birds and kangaroos. Well laid out cabin with thoughtful additions from the host such as kindle/firefighter and matches for the koonara. A lovely stay, highly recommend.'

'Crafers is a beautiful hotel. Lovely room. Gomfy bed and lots lovely extras included in your stay. Staff are amazing and food is devine. We live in Melbourne and we always stay at Crafers. This is our third visit. We love it.'

'The location was fantastic. The bedroom was lovely with the garden outlook. The bathroom needed repairs. Tile and grout were worn and chipped. Staff were cheerful, helpful and were attentive to our feedback.'

'We loved our stay at Mt Lofty House. Highly recommend the daily history tour at 4.30pm. All staff were really friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. Our room was divine. A tip, the cookies are the best. There’s a jar left out and topped up daily but it’s a bit of a secret. We dined at Martha’s and after a really busy day, loved the easy going nature of this restaurant. We also had the 7 course degustation menu at Hardys Veranda another night. ' Overall, the property was excellent but was let down by the lack of TV reception. Given that our visit was for the Gather Round Football, our plan was to watch many of the games on TV. However, that was not possible because of there being no satellite connection because of the cloud cover. It was a major disappointment and as a result we had very little leisure time at the property. The property is advertised as family accommodation, so the TV coverage issues need to be rectified.'

'Really enjoyed the property, room and surrounding area. Only problem was that we did not receive any instructions on getting into our room and had to ring the staff for access. Other than that, perfect, would stay there again!'

'Loved the homely touches with the beautiful crockery and furniture around the house. Close to the town centre. Mattress was a little firm for our liking and extra milk for the continental breakfast would have been nice. Otherwise a lovely place to stay! '

'Overnight stay was excellent - we used as a jump off point to Monarto Zoo which is 30 minutes drive. Strathalbyn is a beautiful town. Victoria Hotel is perfectly placed. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice bathroom. Comfortable beds. We had our son and booked a room for 3. Often places don't prepare the spare bed but these guys were organised and did prepare the extra bed which was greatly appreciated. Staff were friendly at check in and out.'
