I had issues with my first room but the hotel quickly provided a room move and sent me fruit and a bottle of wine. 'We stayed five nights at Charlie’s El Nido. We had fairly high expectations, as this was one of the most expensive hotels we booked during our six month trip through Southeast Asia (around $100 per night). Unfortunately, the experience ended up being quite disappointing. We booked a standard room and were placed on a basement floor. 'We stayed for 5 days in this luxury hotel. Beautiful pool, and that was the best of our stay. This place can be very nice but needs a lot of upgrading to be real 5*. The rooms are cheaply decorated with a luxury touch. If you pay 275 euro per room per night you would expect a luxury bathroom with a bath and rain shower. 'The bedside lamp doubles as a phone charger and has a switch so you don’t have to get up to turn it off. Small thing, but I loved it and slept better than I have in a long time. The sea view room faces Bacuit Bay. It’s close to the port, so it’s a sea view but not quite a beach view. The hotel can arrange motorbike rentals and island hopping tours, though there’s no breakfast included.
