'When we pulled up to Shady Rest we thought, "okay.." But when we got inside, we were blown away, because for the price of a hotel room we had an entire house! John, the owner, greeted us and we got to know each other a little bit He was friendly and made sure we lacked nothing. John even offered us plums and/or apples from his fruit trees. The yard was great for the pups and we love the hot tub and corn hole. We were so close to places to swim and the state park is 15 minutes down the road where you can take your dogs to swim! '
