Gerenoveerde schuur in Champlain Valley

De schuur die aan mijn 200 jaar oude huis is bevestigd, is vorig jaar omgebouwd tot een geweldig toevluchtsoord met 1 slaapkamer en 1 badkamer. Het is ruim, goed uitgerust en dromerig. Na de volledige herbouw is de schuur nu een zeer efficiënte hybride leefruimte met houten kozijnen die zowel originele, opnieuw geclaimde materialen als de nieuwste energiezuinige producten gebruikt.

Het gebied is sereen en omgeven door schoonheid en toch dichtbij voor alle soorten opwinding. Er zijn goed onderhouden wandelpaden op loopafstand, u kunt de veerboot naar Burlington nemen voor restaurants en winkels of de trein naar Montreal nemen. De voedselbeweging is hier in volle gang en dat is een andere plezierige attractie. In de stad Essex is er een prachtige yogastudio, het Lake Champlain Yoga & Wellness, verschillende restaurants en interessante geschiedenis.

De schuur is een rustig en prive-uitje met uitzicht op de bergen, 3. 5 mijl van Essex en Lake Champlain - comfortabel het hele jaar door, met A / C in de zomer en efficiënte warmte en een houtkachel voor de koude maanden. De foto's zeggen alles!

Audrey is the consummate host, and her place is simply delightful! Audrey was responsive and very easy to communicate with throughout both the booking process and during our stay. She even had a fire started in the wood-fired stove upon our arrival. The home is comfortable and tastefully appointed with well-curated home decor. The remodeled barn is cozy and welcoming! This is our 2nd visit at Audrey’s farm. Our last visit was 4-5 years ago, and we stayed in the main house, which is larger and equally delightful. This 1BR apartment had ample space for relaxing, and a large en suite bedroom. The views from the barn are spectacular; be sure to wake up to see the sunrise!

We had a family reunion here and rented both this property and the main farm house. It was just perfect. There are great hiking trails nearby and the adorable waterfront town of Essex is 5 miles away. Audrey (the host) is super cool, and she has a gaggle of farm creatures that love to be petted. Relaxing and comfy place

We had an amazing stay, and great sleep, the place is very well thought of and is so comfy and cozy, while still being spacious enough. It has everything you need and the location is perfect for hikes in the region as well as for taking the ferry to visit Vermont. Audrey is kind hearted and has a particular attention to details that helped us make our stay even better with very good communication and recommendations of things to do nearby. We wished we could have stayed longer and will definitely pass by again next time we are in the region. Great views and petting the horses were a plus! :)

Lovely, relaxing stay

The property is beautiful, the barn apartment is modern and comfortable. Would definitely recommend for folks who like to hike and just get out of a city environment - a ton of trails nearby and the views will make you forget you are in NY. Audrey was a gracious host and very helpful throughout our stay. We enjoyed a few local restaurants in the area and did some hiking in Vermont as well.

Amazing. Wouldn't change a thing and wish I were still there!

This place is a unique gem. It was very comfortable, clean, and cozy, and I loved the design and furnishings so much. The location was beautiful and peaceful. It was far enough away to feel like you were getting away yet close enough to amenities, unique stores, Lake Champlain, Burlington, VT, and the Adirondacks to the West. The natural setting was charming, and the friendly goats and hens added to that charm. Audrey was very friendly and the perfect host. I can't thank her enough for letting me stay at her special place, and I hope to visit again.

A Gem in Essex Countryside!

Refreshing, and Unique! That’s I would describe my stay at Audrey’s cabin. A very well thought out and eclectic decor for a small barn/cabin. There are animals to enjoy, countryside vistas, and you can see great sunsets, Camel’s Hump, Mount Mansfield, VT, across Lake Champlain. The drive there alone is very relaxing. There are several small towns in the area with crafts (Wood, pottery, ironwork), small cafes with local food and nice people to talk to. Very close to the Ferry as well, and 2 hours from Montreal, QC. Started the New Year there, with cool, crisp Winter air. I will definitely plan on returning in different seasons.

Beautiful space and location!

This is an idyllic renovated barn, which is new and beautifully decorated. We loved the space! We didn't need it, but there is air conditioning. It is quiet and rural. The owner is just lovely, and we met her sweet dogs while we were there. If you wish you can visit her dwarf goats, which are really cute. The location is like a country paradise- conveniently located near the Essex, which is very pretty. There is a convenient car (or bike) ferry if you wish to take a quick jaunt over to VT, so there is a lot to do in a 30 mile radius. If you like biking, walking or jogging, these hills are made for you. Audrey supplies lots of brochures for activities, hiking, sightseeing and dining. This is one of our new favorite areas in New England and we hope to come back some day!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the barn. From the moment I walked in I fell in love with it’s charm. It is filled with natural light and very charmingly furnished. It is also very comfortable and has everything you may need for an enjoyable stay. I hope to return one day in the fall to enjoy the wood burning stove and see the leaves change.
