We had a wonderful time staying at this house. We had three adults, a 9-year-old, two 4-year-olds, and a 1.5-year-old in our group. Everyone found something to love about the house.
The adults enjoyed cooking in the huge, well-appointed kitchen (sharp knives and well-tended nonstick cookware, can you believe it?!) The coffee maker was robust enough to fuel an army, though we only used it for the usual pot in the morning. There are also Keurigs and other coffee makers should you desire.
The kids all enjoyed watching a movie downstairs (with popcorn and popcorn trays complimentary with the house, a really sweet touch!) and they also had a lot of fun putting on "shows" from the balcony/landing overlooking the kitchen and dining area.
The living room with the huge sectional couch was comfortable for all of us to flop on when it rained outside. We enjoyed a wonderful meal on the outdoor deck, complete with built-in glass marble fire feature (far enough from the 4-year-olds to be safe!) while we watched deer munch on the grass nearby.
The playground, while not in the "back yard" of the house, is literally right next door across a gravel road. You can see it from the living room and kitchen windows, making it a great spot for kids to play while the adults prep dinner.
Even the tiniest among us was well taken care of - there are baby-appropriate toys in the downstairs closet, a pack-n-play crib and a high chair available for use, and in-unit laundry for the inevitable never-ending dirty kid clothes.
As far as the location, it was ideal for us. We visited the Y of the Rockies (you could walk there, but we drove in the rain) for some swimming and arts and crafts time. We also made it into Estes a few times for tram rides, shopping, and other tourist activities. And it was only 20 minutes into Rocky Mountain National Park for hiking!
My only complaint is that the beds are all quite soft. All of the twin sized beds have similar mattresses covered with ~3" memory foam pads. The king bed is also memory foam. As a back sleeper, I found all of the beds too soft and woke with a sore back. My side-sleeper husband was quite happy, though!
Overall this was a GREAT house, a bit bigger than we needed but very comfortable. It was clean, had all the amenities we needed and more, and was in a great location.
