'We had a wonderful stay. The boys enjoyed learning about bass fishing from Billy Kohls. Great hikes nearby. Hot tub was fantastic after the cold days. Wonderful fenced in backyard for our pups. Lots of games for rainy day, just wish there would have been pool stick chalk so my husband could’ve taught my son pool table shots. Excellent location! We would stay here again'

'We used this house mainly as a home base for a fishing trip on Smith Mountain Lake. This place was perfect since we could walk right down to the dock on the water and enjoy all the great views. Everything in the house was in good working order, which is always important. The chairs and couches were clean and comfortable. The master bedroom was very spacious and the other bedrooms were more than adequate. All the rooms were clean. Again, for me, everything worked as expected, and the outside...

'A perfect lake retreat for a larger group. Excellent location on Smith Mountain Lake, including dock, paddle boards, heated pool & hot tub. The beds are the most comfortable sleeping mattresses I have ever slept on while traveling. The home is beautiful and the views amazing. Close to shopping, wineries and restaurants. Definitely is a true vacation.'

'This home was wonderfully equipped, as a matter of fact they had nice bonuses such as soap, TP, shampoo available so you didn't need anything right away. The only drawback is if you have an issue with stairs. It is 90 stairs to the water. Very safe stairs so I used it as exercise but if you struggle with using stairs this may not be your place. The view is amazing and the home is very confortable'

'Property is perfect for a family vacation. Property is clean, well stocked, roomy, comfortable and close to shopping, restaurants, churches ect. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. This was our second stay.'

'I booked this place for college for a weekend at LU (Liberty) I have stayed at many VRBO’s. This was by far the best I have ever experienced. The home was fantastic, clean and the hosts super responsive! When we initially arrived our door code did not work. Within less than 5 minutes they had the code fixed. I have never had that kind of response from a host. I will absolutely book with this host again!'

'Access for the lake was not good. Would have appreciated steps or, walkway or a railing. My husband is in heart failure an he only got to get in the boat once. Because of the climb. Because we could not use the awning it would have been nice to have an umbrella for the table. The house was beautiful, however it would have been nice to have a TV in each bedroom. There were no dishcloth to wash dishes as the rack in the dishwasher is broken. No trash bags. Hand soap in only the downstairs...

'We really enjoyed our trip to the lake house. We just wanted to get away for a few days and relax and not have a lot of activities and this was a great place to do it. The house was really nice and equipped with everything we needed. The weather was pretty cool and it rained all day one day so we didn’t use the golf cart but we would have liked to.'

'What an amazing stay. 1790s cabin restored in the 80s. Beautiful and still had all we needed for our trip to the lake. We visited historic Bedford during the day and spent our evenings in this beautiful historic cabin. Met the owner Dave and he gave us a full tour and history. He also gave us some great suggestions for places to eat and places to get great views of the area.'
