'Charming. Clean room with a historic feel of route 66. It is a traveler's lodge. Fridge noisy, walls are thin so bring earplugs if you're bothered. The town has limited food service, so plan accordingly. Check days restaurants are open. I loved the view of trees. Old church and buildings. Charming. I will return'

'Nice place and nice location. But very thin walls and when a car parked in our spot and then was idling from 445 am to 5 am we didn't get any more sleep. When we asked the manager why that spot isn't for the room we were we were immediately given an odd and defensive reaction and were told we were staying in the cheapest($200) room and that we should have contacted her...at 445 in the morning! 'The fridge froze my food. Advised the front office staff who said they would forward information to manager and I would get a refund for damaged food. I never got a refund. I emailed the facility when I got home and the front desk said they would forward to manager. Nothing -- no response. There was also no soap in the shower. I had to use soft-soap hand soap.'

Upon arrival, we received an incredibly warm and festive greeting by staff, a delicious glass of wine, and a run down of the property amenities and suggestions for local activities and attractions. 'This is a charming old-world experience in a well-maintained hotel set in the redwoods beside the Russian River. Rooms are smalll, but clean and comfortable. We had a balcony overlooking the river, which we enjoyed. The staff was helpful and friendly. The owner is obviously very proud of his establishment and dedicated to making it a good experience for his patrons. The breakfast is ample. The attached restaurant provides a German cuisine.'

'They allowed our dog, which was great for a reasonable price. However, the morning we left her food bowl was filled with ants inside the room. The bathroom needs a deep clean. There was leftover hair. In the corners of the floor were dirty. The pool look like it needed to be cleaned. We didn’t swim in it. It was kind of brown on the bottom.
