Everything was great. Very convenient to Mount Field National Park. Wonderful host and comfortable room. And a very friendly resident cat and dog. Perfect.

Beautiful accomodation. Greeted by an extremely friendly host. As it was a cold night, the fireplace had been turned on to warm up the room. Port in our room was also a nice touch.

観光地Russel's fallに近く便利かと思って、また掲示されていた写真が良かったので予約したが、全くの農場真ん中。手作りの夕食を事前に案内されたのでOKしたが100ドルも支払うことになった・・非常に高いと思われる。夜中トイレ故障、水が出ない！初めての経験で最悪。また早朝出発準備中停電・・真っ暗で大変困った。携帯証明を使い何とかしていたら回復。

Dear Katsuyuki My apologies your experience was not a good one. I have not had the problem with toilet before so it was a bit of a shock especially at 10pm at night. I did the best I could, i think the problems were due to TasWater working on our water supply during that day. I will let them know. I'm sorry you thought meals expensive $100 for 2 x two course meals and 2 x continental breakfasts has not been considered expensive by any other guests. do wish you could have said something so that had a chance to make your experience a better one. Etwas abseits gelegenes Cottage umgeben von wunderbarem Garten. Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Es besteht die Möglichkeit Frühstück und Abendessen zusätzlich zu bestellen. Selbstversorger sollten beachten, dass keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vor Ort sind.

A delightful b&b in rural Tasmania. Jenifa is a wonderful host and If you request it she will provide a great evening meal featuring local produce. What a bonus!

Pretty setting with a nice garden and walk around the property. Graham was a very attentive and accommodating host. There is not really a restaurant but he cooked a very lovely dinner on short notice. It is about a 10 minute drive from mt field park with beautiful hiking. Lunch at the possum shed was very tasty. Our stay was very pleasant.

Nice stopover on the way to Strahan from Huonville
A lovely property with a nice walk around the creek and ponds. We had the Queen suite, which was more spacious than I expected with a separate bedroom and living room. Jennifer was very welcoming and called us during the day to see if we wanted dinner cooked for us. Make sure you have what you need for drinks and food, as there isn't much around, even in the nearby towns. So you may want to take Jennifer up on the meal option!

A good country house to choose
The view and the environment was nice. There were a large garden and even a pool for a walk. The owner was very nice and the food was very delicious. We had a very delicious dinner there and enjoyed our last night at Tasmania.

All you'd hope for in a farm stay B & B.
We were greeted with a friendly smile on arrival and shown to a very comfortable room (s). There was a large lounge and separate bedroom with bathroom off it. Upon checking in we were free and encouraged to walk around the lovely gardens orchard and small farm. We opted for a cooked dinner and chose from the several choices. The meals were not only very delicious but served to your room by the host. We also had a cooked/delivered breakfast which we enjoyed thoroughly. The stay here was one of the gems amongst several weeks of B & B stays in Tasmania. We definitely recommend. I wish we'd have been able to stay longer and use this place as a base.

Lovely sunny room if you make time to enjoy sitting in it before the sun sets at 4.30pm (mid-winter). Beautiful setting, close by to Mt Field NP. Friendly owner.

A fantastic place to stay!
Hamlet Downs was the highlight of our Tasmanian holiday! We stayed in the self contained part, which is very spacious and has a beautiful open fire. The host was just wonderful - there were lots of little finishing touches that made our stay so special. Our host provided a beautiful home cooked meal at a very reasonable cost. The countryside at Fentonbury is spectacular and very close to the beautiful Mount Field National Park. I could not have a higher recommendation for Hamlet Downs. We were just sorry that we couldn't stay there for longer.

Fantastic and helpful Staff. They run a very nice establishment. Incredible Location, Grounds on the property were Beautiful. 10 Min from Russell Falls and the National Park. Lake Dobson it worth the trip.

Great location, great accommodation
Excellent for a rural stay close to Mt Field and Southwest National Parks. Really enjoyed the location and gardens, lots of bird-life and the occasional wallaby and numbat (missed out on the platypus sadly). Hosts were great, very hands-off but helpful when needed. Would definitely stay again.

A HOME AWAY FROM HOME
We like good surprizes, and Hamlet downs sure was one. The "room" consisted of a living-room with an open-space kitchen, stuffed with everything you would have in your own kitchen. Fireplace, electric heater + fan, large flat screen TV + DVD, CD player with an impressive stock of disks, and much more was at our disposal (even long range binoculars). The bedroom was large, and so was the pampering duble-bed (with electric blanket). The large bathroom - like any other corner of this wonderful place - was sparkling clean. On a shelve, as well as in the fridge, we found an impressive selecrion of wines and beers, as well as a complimentary glass of Port wine. "Emergency" frozen food items filled the freezer, but the owners are always happy to provide dinner and breakfast at reasonable price and home-cooking quality. Add the smiling, efficient and helpful hosts, and you've got all the good reasons for the rating.

Great location with beautiful garden
We stayed two nights and had a large bedroom, with ensuite, kichenette and huge glass sunroom overlooking thousands of flowers. The owners have provided some nice touches to provide everything a guest might need including complimentary port! The wifi is telstra and very fast. Highly recommended. 15 minutes easy drive to mt field national park.

A lovely country retreat
The loation is close to the Mt Field National Park and Lakes Pedder and Gordon. The rooms were clean and well presented and the gardens in spring looked a picture. The gardens are a nice place for a walk and sit to listen to the birds and the sounds of the country. There are meals available on request and a well stocked snacks and beverage bar.

Enjoyable stay close to Mount Field
Used to be an old hop's farm, but the room was very modern, nice and clean. Nice retreat after a hot day's walk at Mount Field. Enjoy looking out into the garden from the deck and being able to walk around the creek and ponds. Very hospitable owners. Enjoyed my tender juicy steak for dinner.
