'I loved how friendly the staff was during the stay and all the features that came with the suite that we stayed in. It was like a small apartment! 'This was our 2nd stay and we were very pleased. Pleasant staff, decent breakfast, clean rooms, comfortable beds. One of our favorite things is when the hotel puts out ice cream for the guests, they also have games for entertaining, free coffee and tea. I saw the hotel will be making some renovations soon and we look forward to seeing them on our next visit. '

For the price and location you can’t beat it. The beach is within walking distance relatively close to the historic district without all the traffic. '

The clerk at front desk was awesome and good at his job. The facility is actually an older motel, not a hotel, but in great condition. Room was spacious and clean with a fresh smell. Bed was comfortable and linens were clean. Plenty of towels, etc. Pool is really big and clean. Full breakfast was really good. The location is perfect and a very short walk to the beach. You walk out of parking lot and turn left and you can see the beach. ...

'This place was very quaint. Our room was a bit small, the picture made the room look bigger than it was, The beach was a bit further than i thought because i miss read and thought we were on ocean front but at least we only had to cross the road, no counter space, and missing things that you find at any hotel but other than that , it had more postive than the negative.
The room was super clean, quiet , and peaceful. The owners were very responsive, instructions clear to follow and above all...

My room was beautifully decorated making for a pleasant oasis when I wasn’t exploring the Island. The French Fries are the best I ever had. I loved that I had everything I needed without leaving if I didn’t want to!! Highly recommend!!'

Both of ladies at the desk during our visit were very attentive and pleasant. Love the free breakfast and parking, but not as much as the sunset and sunrise from the roof!'

'I rented the partial ocean view suite. The bed was comfy and the ac was cold. The balcony is very small which I knew and overlooks the parking lot with the ocean off to your right. The bathroom is tight. The first night they didn’t have the room I booked so had to stay in a standard pool view room that night and then moved the next day to the room I booked a month or so prior. Received a $50 gift card to local restaurant to compensate for room price diff. The staff is very nice and the breakfast...

'My wife and I stayed weekend of July 26. We enjoyed the quaint quiet retreat. Pool was amazing. Breakfast was like a Michelin star chef was cooking these very nice and succulent breakfast dishes. The convenience of the property placement made it right were all the shopping and fun spots that the historic district had to offer. Thank you for taking care of our needs, to all the staff at the Hoyt House. I would highly recommend this place for anyone that likes quiet little getaway in a bustling...

As with any B&B, you are enjoying what the hosts like for breakfast, or what they think you might like. It's OK not like everything, it's natural. But give it a try!
