'This is a lovely hotel, perfectly located on the beach and next to the ferry terminal. The rooms were lovely and clean and the staff really friendly. The restaurant on the bottom floor of the hotel was an unexpected surprise and the food and service were amazing!
We just wished we had booked to stay longer. The photos of the hotel really don’t do it justice, it’s much nicer even in real-life.'

'Our room was extremely clean including the bathroom. It was spacious for the 3 of us. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub and everyone that stayed there obeyed the curfew. It also quieted down a bit at night. My only complaint is that there weren’t many breakfast options other than carbs. We had a great stay and will definitely be back!'

'We liked our stay here. ALL of the staff were outstanding. The building could certainly use updated mechanicals and walls/ceiling/doors/trim show their age. Not much that staff can do about that. We understand a renovation is planned in the near future. Breakfast was great and all of the staff were OUTSTANDING.'

'Was all I needed for the night after a day at Cedar Point. Looks run down and the shower was in need of a replacement. Loud in the rooms could hear the people above us all night and morning. Conveniently located close to Cedar Point. Pool was nice and clean, was definitely a plus. There is a bowling alley and bar/restaurant across the street. That was great for some night time entertainment. Breakfast was crowded but I got what I needed before hitting the road. I could stay here again...

'The team at Explorer were great to work with. They were super accommodating. We had booked a 3 day stay but the. We realized we needed an extra day. They gave us a late checknout on our first room And then an early check in on our new room. The suite we stayed in was spacious amd clean. The beds were comfortable and the room had a great temp. The linens were clean as well as the towel, which there were plenty. The kichenette worked for our needs.
