'The room looked better than the photos online. It was spotless and everything was just right - the linens, the carpet, the water temperature in the shower. Sam was an amazing host - when there was an issue with the booking and I encountered issues trying to resolve it with the booking platform - she was helpful and reassuring. My stay was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious - loved the granary bread and I forgot to ask Sam about the coffee - exceptional blend, I want to buy some....

'The room was very dusty. There was brick dust on the bathroom walls together with cobwebs. There was dust stacked on the hand basin waste and mould on the curtains. To get hot water to the basin you had to run the tap for at least 10 minutes and you could not get any hot water to the shower at all. The car park was a joke....7 or 8 spaces for a 40 room hotel.'

'Perfect stay for the weekend, lovely view all the amenities you could possibly need, shame about the outside patio area certainly not like in the photos on line. Needs a good tidy up and clean. Other than that perfect stay. '

'Despite hearing the contrary, found everything absolutely fine, my room was clean, staff were excellent, buffet breakfast had enough choices in my opinion. OK, so the tea bags in the room were not very nice & the communal decor could do with a bit of modernisation, but that’s trivial & didn't affect a positive review.'

'Zeer bijzondere locatie vlak bij de zee. Geweldig ontbijt en heel vriendelijk en correct personeel. Enkel de kussens in de bedden zijn oncomfortabel en het enige minpuntje aan ons verblijf. Wat een prachtig gebouw!'

'The Savoy is a mixture of good and bad. The public rooms are beautiful with a lot of original features. Our suite at first glance looked fresh and clean but on closer inspection the bathroom was quite dirty. The bath at some time was a Jacuzzi but this no longer functioned as such. The tiles on the bathroom floor were incredibly slippery - we had to lay towels over the entire floor. We would have liked bath robes to be available. However the biggest problem was the lack of food options. The...

'Boek hier niet! Oplichters. Alle foto’s zijn fake. Zeer verwaarloosd, geen verwarming. Oud en vies. Warm water voor douche pas na 5 minuten een beetje warm. Bed was wel goed maar stond op wieltjes en rolde alle kanten op in mijn slaap. Medewerker waren vriendelijk maar ik vroeg me af wat ze bezielde om hier te willen werken. Lift hapert, zwembad stinkt naar schimmel. Eerst kamers geweigerd, kreeg wel andere maar dit was eens en nooit meer. '
