Wonderful Apartment in Florence
This is a wonderful apartment within a 15 minute walk of all the sites in Florence, in fact, it is one of the best VRBO rentals in which we've ever stayed. The building is safe and the apartment is stocked with everything you need. The owners were patient and answered all of our questions to make our stay enjoyable. The lift was greatly appreciated after a long day and there are plenty of places to grab something to eat within a few steps. Try the gelato on the corner by the bridge. Highly recommend. Thanks to Gianni, Chiara and Nelani for everything!

We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment was spacious and well appointed. I also liked the location - close to one of the bridges and walkable to so much. Nelani, the assistant, was so helpful! I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Florence!

Great Location and Large Apt for Family
My husband and I and our three adult children shared the place for a week. There was plenty of room. The location was really great. Walkable to everything but yeah out of the fray of being in the middle of the city. Maybe I misread but I thought there was a washer and dryer, it turns out there was only a washer but other than that all was as expected. The communication with the owner and her assistant was above average. Thank you, grazie.

Fantastic location in Florence. Just across the Arno and walkable to all of the major sites. Great communication with the hostess. We liked the cafe on the back side of the building right on the river for breakfast and ate at restaurants on this same block twice. Really enjoyed this property.

Centrally located but not in the most touristy part of town. Walkable go all the sites. Very clean and spacious, perfect for our group of 5 including grandparents and toddler. Beautiful decorated historic property that is very central to all you want to walk to in Florence. The Host is the most responsive and helpful person I have come across in all our VRBO rentals over the years. The garage is 200 meters away! Maybe you have problems with the navigator! My assistant accompanied you in 5 minutes! Well look at the other reviews. No one has ever complained about the things you say!

Wonderful, clean, convenient apartment!
We loved our stay at Soderini Palace! It was so clean, so comfortable, and fit our family of 6 beautifully! The location was great, the host was very kind—we had a mix-up about the city tax (our fault) and the owner was very gracious and patient with us. The kitchen was very well equipped and we ate breakfast at the apartment each morning. It was wonderful to have access to a washing machine for laundry, and again, the apartment was so clean! The location was very convenient and we walked everywhere. We would absolutely recommend this location. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This apartment is huge! The kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms as well!! It was centrally located and has a fabulous restaurant across the street to the right!! Order the Florentine beefsteak!! The owners made sure we were happy!! Oh, and smart TV so we used our Netflix! Wifi great!! Florence was beautiful with lots of walking. Gracie!

Perfect Oltrarno home base
This apartment has good sized bedrooms and baths and a nice kitchen. The living area is large. We were not there much during the day, but slept comfortably and appreciated the laundry. The location was great; walkable to all the sites, loved the Santo Spirito neighborhood with convenient coffee shops and restaurants. It is a very cool building that has a long history but is fully remodeled.

The building has not been restored it is as it was 700 years ago only that the parts and doors have been repainted etc etc plus the lift has been added

Great time in Florence
We had a great week at the apartment in Soderini Palace. The apartment is large and spacious. The owners were very helpful in advance of our arrival and answered all of our questions. All of the major sites of Florence are within walking distance, and there is a grocery store and many restaurants within 2-3 blocks of the apartment. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed. The beds in the bedrooms are firm but comfortable. One note about the front bedroom. It can be noisy at night because of the bar/restaurant next door. The noise dies down around 11 pm and the apartment overall is very quiet.

Gianni was extremely accommodating and welcoming. Our check in and out could not have been easier. The apartment is beautiful, elegant and very spacious. Clean and well stocked. Modern kitchen and bathrooms with traditional Italian charm. Don’t miss the gelato on the corner (steps away) and the pizza downstairs at Dante’s is great for late night snack, or any other time. Location is central but also quiet. 1 minute walk from Arno.

Our stay was as expected. The lobby is enormous and somewhat off putting at first when you first enter, the elevator quite small. With luggage, we each traveled up to the apartment solo. And down again when leaving. We appreciated the number of keys available so we had our independence when leaving the apartment. The bedrooms and baths, all the rooms, allowed lots of space and privacy to enjoy the apartment. We were 4 adults traveling together, one married couple and two solo ladies who enjoyed their own rooms. We did not cook simply from lack of need with so many restaurants around to enjoy. There is a club nearby that did create some night noise for two of the bedrooms. All in all, it suited our needs for our 3 night stay and provided a comfortable place to settle when not out exploring Florence.

Very noisy neighbors in apartment building during our stay
The apartment was as expected for a European apartment in an old building. Clean, high ceilings, generous spaces, a long walk up the stairs, tiny elevator, European washing machine and a hanger for drying clothes, thin walls that allow you to hear the neighbors, and chilly in late March and early February. The shutters blocked out the light well in the morning. Beds were comfortable, and our four boys each had their own bed. There were extra comforters to make the beds warm. The neighborhood was hip and within easy walking distance of the sites. Unfortunately, the problem started at night when other occupants of the apartment building or a restaurant partied until 3am. The noise echoed through the courtyard and kept my wife awake (while I mostly slept next to her). The noise did not make it to the boys’ bedrooms, and they slept fine.

You you wrote in the text "one day of noise for a birthday". I'm so sorry really bad luck!! In other reviews we read: the house is very quiet because it is located in the rear part of the building away from the noise of the street! I am very sorry.

Perfect apartment, perfect location, we can't wait to return!
My family and I had a long-term stay at Soderini Palace while on sabbatical this fall. To say we found the perfect location in Florence to stay for a few months is an understatement! The apartment is exactly as shown and described in the pictures and description, but here are a few more details to help with deciding on this apartment for your stay: 1) It's a perfect location because it's NOT in the city center, but a short walk to everything there should you want it. It's on the cusp of both the busy touristy area and the more quiet, local Oltrarno neighborhood. We met many wonderful people during our stay and the restaurants - oh my, too many wonderful ones in the neighborhood to count! 2) The layout of the apartment is wonderful and spread out in such a way that you can find privacy in the bedrooms or even the living room or kitchen if you need it. Each room has a door and provides for some respite. And two full bathrooms make it easy to manage with adults and children in residence. 3) Gianni and Chiara, the hosts, have been doing this for quite a while and are the perfect proprietors. They always answered any questions we had quickly, and we had a great walk-through when we arrived to fully understand all of the workings of the apartment. Since we were there for a while we got to know them, they are really a wonderful team and take pride in running their rental in a professional manner. There was no question that anything we needed would be addressed if necessary. I could go on and on, but in short - for any length of stay, should you want a clean, comfortable, beautiful apartment and location, this is it. The history of Florence is felt all around you and it's a perfect location for any daily adventures that you may have. We hope to return some day!

We spent a few days in Florence with our 20-something children on their college and law school winter breaks, doing a whirlwind European tour. Wonderful!! We felt so at home here. The bedrooms were good-sized and comfy, the bathrooms had plenty of hot water, and it was warm and cozy. The apartment also has a table to sit in the kitchen, and best of all, a lovely sala (living room) with comfy couches and a dining table to do a little work or plan your day’s touring. The neighborhood is fabulous — so many restaurants, bars, clubs and cafes. We really appreciated the washing machine and the lift — our son hurt his knee right before the trip so being able to skip the stairs was a welcome find. The owners were so communicative and could not have been nicer or more hospitable. (I left my cosmetic bag behind the morning we left, and they were kind enough to send it to me!) This apartment is walking distance to literally everything you’d want to see and do in Florence — we walked everywhere, even up to Piazzale Michelangelo. A fabulous stay.

Great Apartment, Luxurious Amount of Space
Highly recommend. We had a lovely stay in this apartment and in Florence. Chiara was a superb host and was very responsive, from answering pre-travel questions, all throughout our stay and the all important help for a 3:30am taxi to the airport to catch our flight. (the taxi arrived right on time, BTW) Florence is a very walkable city. We found the location ideal. Just across the river, about a 5-15 minute walk to do most everything we wanted to do. The apartment has a luxurious amount of space and is well furnished and nicely decorated. The building itself is historical, super well constructed, and makes you feel you are getting the true Florence experience. The apartment is up multiple flights of stairs, but we are in our 50s and didn’t have a problem. There was also an elevator in case we had luggage or were tired. The kitchen was a great help. We stopped at a local grocery store and picked up breakfast and sandwich items, to help reduce dining out costs, as well as sundries like shampoo and a bar of soap. Beds were very comfortable. The showers were european-sized, but reasonable. The washing machine was a big help, so we didn’t need to pack as many clothes. Very pleased with the experience. Not apartment related, but thought we’d share a bit on COVID-era travel in Florence. Florence has several locations for pre-travel COVID tests, including the Airport and (we were told) the train station and some pharmacies. We did ours at the Airport. There is an online reservation system, which we used to book appointments the day before we were to travel. We took a taxi to/from the airport for the tests. The testing center is about 50 feet in front of the main terminal. We arrived early, and didn’t have to wait for our appointed times. We were in and out in about 30 minutes with printed copies of our test results in hand. Cost was 20 euro per person. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Also, Italy was using the “Green Pass” app to confirm vaccine status. We had photos of our US CDC vaccine cards on our phones and everyone accepted that instead. We had to show our vaccination card photo for every train ride and meal at a restaurant, among numerous other places. Of course, things COVID are changing frequently, so the truth could change. Overall we had an amazing experience in Florence, due in large part to Chiara and this apartment. So… Would we chose this property again if we visit Florence? Absolutely.

Appartement très bien équipé. Très bien placé car tout proche de tous les monuments. Très propre. Climatisation très efficace. Un appartement parfait pour visiter Florence le matin, puis se reposer de la chaleur par une sieste, avant d'y retourner dans l'après-midi. On recommande ! Le seul bémol est la complexité pour le dépôt des bagages avec la zone de trafic limité (ZTL).

The Soderini Palace apartment in Florence was our favorite in all of Italy. It is directly south of the river next to the bridge two to the left of the Ponte Vecchio. The #6 bus stops right in front. 5 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi. 10 minute walk to the Duomo. #6 bud ride directly to Accademia (David statue). This place is huge. 3 big bedrooms. Great A/C. Clean bathrooms. Washing machine. Nice kitchen. Very clean. Huge family room. 12 foot ceilings. Super quiet. A real refuge from the city. 2 euro gelato right around the corner. If you are staying in a Florence, you’d love this place.

A Week in Florence
Throughout the booking process Chiara & Gianni were both very helpful and responded to my queries very quickly. We were greeted on arrival by Marianna who is the property manager, Neil’s wife. After showing us the apartment she kindly offered to walk us to the Duomo so that we would get our bearing. We had a lovely week in Florence and really enjoyed the apartment which is very well located. On our last day Neil assisted by ordering our taxi for us, one large enough for 4 of our suitcases. Being able to contact them whenever we needed assistance made our holiday so much more enjoyable. The only problem we experienced was the low water pressure & the dwindling hot water in the evening,

A fantastic place to stay. Incredible Aircon. 13+foot ceilings?!! Just on the south side of the Arno river (the generic Homeaway website locator might not be accurate) near the best Gelato place in all of Italy (we had been sampling for days...my kids will be sorely miss it). Really 8 - 15 minutes walk from most attractions. But one of my kids has flat feet and grandparents were around as well. We learnt the Bus system and because we loved the apartment so much I will give you a quick Bus primer because it will enhance your stay. You might never be able to catch a cab when you want it. And because the taxis are forced to loop, be prepared for amazing fares. 1) Florence buses are ATAF buses. ATAF kiosk, Tabacco shops and newsstands sell the 1.5 Euro tickets that last for 90 minutes. I bought 3 tickets for each person from the SMN ATAF kiosk that takes credit card. 2) Everything is honor based. Get on the bus and VALIDATE your bus ticket immediately. Do not waste time talking to your driver. Validate then ask. This is because the inspectors are militant and will fine you a ridiculous amount. To validate there is a yellow box that prints the time on the top of you ticket. After that, you have ninety minutes on any bus and can transfer at will. 3) Bus map. Google ATAF bus map. Herein lies a bit of confusion. The buses kinda loop around Florence center so you'll never really take the same bus twice to get to and fro. Also, once the buses get to SMN the train station the bus map begins to fail as there are too many stops to figure out location exactly. For SMN get a bus there and walk the rest. From SMN, take a taxi. 4) There is a 6, C4, 37 bus right in front of the apartment at the "Fermatta" sign across the street. C4, 37 takes you to SMN (ask the bus driver or GPS it). C4 if you're patient and go for an extra 5 minutes PAST SMN will drop you in front of SMN after it loops back. C4 also drops you at the Duomo! Getting home from the Duomo: We liked taking the C1 from the SE corner street of the Duomo to Uiffizi Gallery. Then opposite Ponte Vecchio transfer to the C3, C4 which drops you close to home as defined by the Gelato place. We couldn't figure out a good bus to Uiffizi so walked that. Khoon I'm happy that you like the apartment. The apartament is locate in the city senter near the most important actration. The center of Florence is so small that in 20 minutes you go from one part to another, If you have people like Kkoon who have difficulty walking there are small buses that run in the center of Florence. One of these little buses stops in front of the house
